Clara's POV
"Oh, thank the goddess", Ruby exclaimed the moment I stepped in.
A dishrag was in her merciless grip as she rushed towards me, pulling me into a tight hug. She muttered silent prayers of thanks to the moon goddess for bringing me safe while I tried to find a way to breathe past her stifling grip.
"Where the f**k have you been?", she screamed after we broke apart. "You do know that you gave me quite the scare after dumping Nico in my hands with a very vague instruction and panic in your eyes."
"I'm sorry", I apologized. "I know it might not seem like it, but I am. I know how scary that must be for you."
"Good", he sniffed. "Are you fine?", her hands and eyes roamed my body, checking for any harm. After she was satisfied, she let go of me.
