Chapter 14: That’s an order and not a request, road to become an enchantress is set on void stones!

Face to face, the crown prince Lukretus on one side and on the other it was me.
He say he has only one and only one fiancée without saying it’s me, he is also practically saying that he isn’t under any spell and that he is already aware of Canditia’s powers…
This enigmatic way of speaking… he is trying to bait me the same way I am trying to bait him, this cunning and sly snake…
Depending on my next move things might change to the best or the worst… what should I do? Continue or stand back and admit defeat?
If it’s your way or the highway, then I will dig MY way and make you regret having a battle of wits against me!
He is basically ordering me instead of requesting it... at the same time he is expressing his dissatisfaction by stating that it was an order from the emperor and that he, as much as he hate it, is obliged to have me as an escort…
This is deriving from the original plot of the game main story… I already know that things won’t be the same because of what you can call the butterfly effect… but it appears that the effect of me “changing” is also “changing the plot”…
Originally, he was going to persuade the emperor that Canditia is the saint of light and have him agree to let her be his escort… but something might happened… something like him not having any solid proof enough to persuade the emperor…
Why? Did Canditia’s powers didn’t manifest? Don’t tell me that this is the result of Solaria’s slumber due to her exhausting her Divine powers when she forced time to go back...
Did Canditia even receive a proper saint power blessing? Bloody hell… this situation is far more complicated than what I had predicted…
That explain why this moron is still trying to hold unto Evanson house… it’s all because Canditia is a half assed saint!
So that means… that the Evanson house has the upper hand in this situation?!
Things are going to get even more interesting at the upcoming banquet, dear fiancée HAHAHA!
Hey… wasn’t that supposed to be given to Canditia? Wow… so my supposition really are true! This ornament of gold and topaz… I shall make great use of these!
since the banquet is a tree days festival.
After the meeting that ended up in draw with neither the sides wining the conversation, I kept on with my usual training and studies.
I have gone through the records of Akistor and learned quite a lot of things; I am currently trying to understand an enchantment that belongs to the intermediary level…
The beginner level is simple, all you have to do is right the enchantment code and the enchantment will work if nourished by mana.
The intermediary level is different, because in this level, the principal of magic glyphs is included!
A glyph is a magic circle cast by a spell caster; you can’t cast a complicated spell without a magic circle. But the glyph is something above the normal magic circle, because it contains enchantments instead of mage spells.
Enchanters are rare; you can even qualify them as unique and potential elite in the world of magic!
The enchanters don’t use a magic circle, they us glyphs! It’s to put it simply… a magic circle in the shape of a symbol.
What an enchanter use to cast a spell is not a magic circle, but a glyph of runic symbols! A symbol none other than the caster can understand, that’s how enchanters’ magic came to be unique!
And what else? Akistor’s records show a unique technique that I have been thinking of… that is to include Glyphs inside magic circle to cast a spell! It will make the spell more complicated but a lot more effective! This technique is something that only Akistor managed to use because it needs a lot of mana and mastery!
I can’t do that in my current level… but I can still use glyphs alone without a problem!
I asked the old man to let me go outside, I then used my psychic powers to knock out the attendants and the escort knight before going inside the forest alone.
I used a spell that I call [Hypnosis slumber] it will knock out the target and place them in sleep, when they wake up they will think that I have spent the day in a restaurant and went on a stroll in the shop district.
I can do it on them only for a maximum of five hours or else they might lose their minds and remain in a permanent sleep for ever… something they don’t deserve… even though they are keeping an eye on me which is really troublesome and annoying for me, they are merely doing their jobs for living…
But I have to knock them out and aggress their minds for me to train my abilities in secret without anyone knowing about what I am capable of…
This situation is temporary… I am planning on revealing my powers in the most flashy way after all… for that I need to train!
I went straight to the ravine inside the forest where the Junk stones are being trashed out!
The reason why I came here is to practice the use of my powers, gain a few levels if monsters appear in front of me and to test the theory of the junk stones being useful for my work!
From the top of the ravine I looked down at the bottom of it, a lot and lots of junk stones everywhere! I’ll have more than enough for me to test my abilities on these before it went out!
I jumped inside the ravine without cords or equipments, it’s now or never!
I used my space magic abilities to slow down my fall; the principal I used is the force of my weight that drags me down is suppressed by an almost equal force that pushes me up!
I wonder is this how it feels to jump in the moon… I feel like a feather! Practically weightless!
Alright let’s explore this ravine and collect those minerals samples and test them today!
It took me an hour and half before getting out of the ravine; I used my [Telekinesis] to launch the stones outside of the ravine.
Then I launched myself out of the crater the same way, I tripped upon reaching the top… I should probably start practicing my landing…
And so with a bruised knee I sat down near a tree to heal my injury, let’s start the test of these stone real value and worth!
I used my [Evil eyes of clairvoyance] to analyze the stones… and as I expected, my doubt and wariness was true!
Now that I am holding it in my hands I can see it, these stones are no ordinary stones… because they are sucking out mana from the air!
With my evil eyes, I can see the flow of mana, the mother of energy… I can see it being sucked from the surrounding air inside…
That’s how is spent a few hours experimenting on those rocks, imbued them with mana, tried to cast a few spell on them to see the reaction, tested some affinities on them…
And in the end I can conclude at least on important thing… these rocks are perfect for magic craft!
They absorb mana very well; they are compatible with all the affinities except for the death affinity [Corrosion]…
Their negative point is that this rock’s infusion point is very high! And if you fail to melt it will crumble and turn useless…
Akistor’s records speak of a certain “Void stone” that have the same characteristics as this junk stone…
The void stones are a material that Akistor use a lot in his magic crafting and enchanting… if this stone is the void stone, then I might become rich and surrounded by luxury like a dragon!
I wrote an enchantment in the shape of tree glyphs, which is the maximum I can do in my current level…
Each of the glyphs had a specific job to do, the first was to contain the spell, the second and the third are to activate and maintain its balance.
The spell I casted is simple, it will lit a fire, the fire will be controlled by Glyph number two and three, number one will maintain it by absorbing the provided mana.
After a few test to see where should I put the glyphs and how to perfectly connect them in a chain were all difficulties I have to go though to understand how to use them.
After the five hours ended… I could proudly return home with my very first enchanted object!
What I made is something normal and somewhat decent for a first try! The object that I made is forged by combining five void stones with each one a couple of glyphs imbued inside!
The tool was made of compressed void stones tied by metallic joints, the runic symbols carved on the stones and in the center of the empty circle; a mana stone glistering in a Crimson light inside a ball that look like if it was made of glass but the truths it’s a force field.
That mana core is the one I got from that vampire dude, you know the one who died not that long ago in a cave by a mysterious person… LOL
This tool will allow me to do things I could do before
This thing that does look cool, its utility is to be the core of the Archive I have been working on for days already!
With this… it this I can finally lower the pressure on my mind due to the familiars mental network connection… all those informations, that immense pressure that is on me due to processing all those informations alone… will finally stop!
The pressure made me sleep more than usual and on top of that it consumed my mana at rapid paste!
I entered the library and shut the doors behind me saying that I will be reading a book and that I don’t want to be disturbed. I cannot afford to let anyone know that I can use magic… no matter what; I need to avoid that fate!
The next step is to create a barrier… a force field that will contain my domain and hide the fact that I am using magic from outside the barrier.
For that I have placed enchanted Void stones in a specific pattern and chanted the spell… I moved the table and the furniture away before starting the chant of the magic enchantment spell
The stones glimmered the moment a glistering ball of dark purple energy formed between my palms; it then soared in the air and formed a force field inside the big library.
Perfect… now to the next step!
I took the empty books that I have already prepared in prior, what I will be doing next is similar to what you would see in fantasy movies… witchcraft!
I placed candles side creating a circle, the next step was sprinkling salt on top of the unlit candles.
It might seem weird but salt is actually a very strong stimulant that greatly affects mana! The candles are going all to be lit and I will channel their salt stimulated mana to draw as much mana as possible!
The next step was to lit the candles one by one reverse the clock movement, the next step was to stand in the center of the circle and draw a circle reverse the hour needle movement holding onto a stick with a mana imbued chalk on the tip.
The next step is to place the Core of the enchantment in the middle and step out of the circle then start the incantation!
The incantation is in Elfish tongue, I studied and learned it thanks to the Records of Akistor; it’s a more complicated language which makes mana get stimulated and raise the probability of succeeding on casting a complicated spell!
As reaction to my chanting, the flames from the candles flickered and danced, small particles rose from them like small light globes, ascended in the air when the disk that I have made started levitating.
I didn’t stop my chanting as I tried my best to maintain the spell and keep the mana flow balanced, that operation took a very long time before we entered the final phase!
The disk started glowing in a white light as it radiated waves of energy indicating that its creation was completed
The next step was clear, that is to link the one hundred books right here with it!
I used my [Telekinesis] to raise the books in the air as I brought them closer to the disk. They then started circling around the disk all hundred of them even though I stopped my [Telekinesis] long ago.
Threads of energy like limbs reached to the books one by one and brought them closer and closer when I started chanting the second verse of the spell.
The books opened and the pages turned at high speed before disintegrating and turning into particles and finally get sucked inside the disk!
That operation kept on for a few minutes till there was no trace of any book left n the room.
Now it’s time for the crucial phase… create the psychic link that will tie the familiars with the disk and the link that will tie me with the disk!
I started chanting the third verse as I called forth my powers out to manifest.
An aura of dark purple energy surrounded me, flickered and danced like flames and lurked like shadows.
That was the result of calling forth the powers of my mental affinity combines with the [Dark] and the [Space] as well as the [Apply] affinity which is the affinity of enchantment magic.
My mana reached out to the disk and fused with it as it got sucked more and more inside the disk…
I started feeling dizzy, the more it sucked out the dizzier I got… damn it, and don’t tell me I don’t have enough mana!
This is bad… really bad, if I stop here… all the effort I have put on this will go to waste…
That’s when I remembered one crucial thing… the red mana core… the one I got from the vampire; I may have an Idea that might help me succeed at completing the spell…
The technique is simple… but it’s going to hurt…
I removed my hair pin and approached the disk…
The candles are already completely out and my mana is almost completely depleted… I have no other choice!
I raised the hair pin in the air and stabbed my hand with its pointy edge!
The blood started spilling out of the injury, its ether the highway or my way!
After all no pain no gain, if I don’t do this I will lose all the hard work
I used my telekinesis to drop the blood on the crystal… one drop after another…
When it suddenly started shaking and radiating, the color of light shifted from the all colors to the hues of my mana, that is the moment when I felt a connection form between me and the disk as well as another that got formed between the disk and the familiars preserving successfully my master servant link with the minions!
The spell was completed! I have made it, I have created it… My Archive! One last spell to hide how it look and everything will be done…
The archive took the shape of a book, a book… actually it took the shape of a diary.
After that I removed all traces of me casting a spell and took the archive with me as I headed straight to my room and collapsed on my bed completely exhausted…
I can finally sleep without having any headache!
