The pieces fell into place. Demi was the proof. The animals in D'Guardians, the students' hatred of me because of my scent. They had enhanced senses. They weren't human. The whole town was a pack of a specific breed. The fear in my chest grew bigger than ever. I wanted to go home. But part of me forced me to stay. “Laviana,” my voice sounded low.
