Bonny’s POV “Adrian, wait!” He ignored me completely. Of course he did. The surviving edge of the bridge groaned violently beneath his weight as he dropped to one knee near the shattered platform. Below us, Seth hung over open air with one hand locked around twisted metal. Smoke swirled beneath him. The drop disappeared into fire and debris. My stomach twisted so hard I thought I might be sick. “Hurry!” the investigator shouted. “The structure’s failing!” No one moved away. Not yet.
