EPISODE 1

My mother's warm hands gripped my father's, as they watched me standing beside him. I glanced at them, shooting them a sad look. They looked heartbroken as our eyes connected. I knew they wished they could just get me and run off, but we all knew that couldn't be made. I gulped, as I looked up at him.  The man I was about to marry.  It's not like I wanted to, I had to. My little brother Jason is in the hospital, he has asthma but because we're in poverty, we couldn't afford to buy his medications. Now he's in the hospital, in desperate need of his medications, or else he could die. I blink back tears, determined to be strong. If I marry him, I think, Jason will be alright. I wish I didn't have to, but I have no choice. My mother first told me of this, how she had seen a poster announcing that a billionaire CEO needed a wife. At first I was no way in hell going to marry a random stranger, but then as the days passed by with Daddy always working extra shifts along with Mom, and Jason getting worse... "Rose L'oreal," the voice startles me, pushing away the dark thoughts in my head. I look up, into his dark green eyes that seem even more intimidating up close. I've only met him twice, my first time being at the wife interview and now... At our wedding. Although there isn't many people here except our parents, it's still so scary and nerve-racking.  The question comes like a bullet, fast and scary. "Will you do me the honor of marrying me?" I try not to tremble or look away as he lowers down on one knee. I try not to blush or quiver when his open suit reveals a peek of his chest. I try not to let myself get unfocused.  I think, assessing his words. If I say yes, my fate is sealed. Becoming his wife, it would change not only my life, but my family's as well. Especially Jason. Jason. I'm doing this for you, sweetheart.  "Yes, I accept." I expect for him to just smirk and take me to bed, but he doesn't. He does something unexpected. He smiles. A genuine, happy smile. As if he's happy we are married now. I'm not sure if he is actually meaning his smile.  I suck my breath as I force myself to give a tight smile. Mom told me the best thing to do was to be polite, smile, and treat him like a king. Meaning, to act like he was higher than me. Do it for Jason, I repeat to myself. I know this could be a mistake, but I love my family too much, too much that I would risk my fate and give it away to a random stranger.  Or, no. He's not actually a stranger. He's THE Calvin Diamond, CEO of Diamond Enterprises, and not to mention he's a billionaire.  "Look on the bright side," my mother whispered to me on the day of the interview. "If you win this, you'll be the legal wife of a billionaire CEO, not to mention he's smoking hot." I try not to smile, as I inspect his face. My mom is right, although I won't admit it. His light chocolate-like brown hair, those intimidating green eyes, and those full pink lips... I'm just praying he's not an asshole snob. Although he probably will. How could he not, if he has loads of money. Yes, he worked hard and all, but he was already rich in the beginning, he just became a billionaire instead of a millionaire. I sigh, deciding to focus on the damn man instead of letting thoughts overwhelm me.  "How are you feeling tonight, dear?" He says dear in a caring tone, as if he's actually meaning it. My, what the actor Calvin Diamond is!  "I'm fine," I answer, even thought I'm anything but. I fidget with the glass of wine my mother just gave me seconds ago to "light up the ambient". He notices my uncomfortableness and chuckles darkly.  "Are you scared of me?" The question is shocking, and I quickly answer.  "No." Shit! I am not allowed to ever say that, he is in a higher position than me! He'll probably punish me... But he asked and I stated the truth.  "Oh, really?" His face looks amused as he twirls his glass. I blush. Well, not until now. "So, if I did this—" I let out a gasp as his hands wrap around my waist, pushing me towards him, our bodies now much closer than we'd ever been, or I'd ever like. I blush fiercely as he grips me, his green eyes observing my reaction. "Oh Rose..." He whispers, inching me closer... His breath spilling onto my lips... Closer... And closer... "You bastard!" I scream, slapping him with a loud smack, pushing me away from me. He falls to the ground, and my parents gasp in fear. Then I, realizing what I have done, gasp too, as the realization dawns upon me.  I slapped my husband, the CEO billionaire.
