The clearing smelled of damp earth and pine, fresh and sharp, a scent that made Aria’s senses tingle. Sunlight broke through the canopy in streaks, illuminating the small patches of grass she had worn bare from earlier training. Today, Lyr had promised, would be different. No more basic bursts or timid shields. Today, she would learn dual-element Moonfire: creation and destruction, light and shadow. ‎ ‎Lyr, stretching like a predator ready to pounce, smirked. “Alright, Aria. You’ve shown promise.
