Billy Fury was luckier than a lot of other aging ex-sit com TV stars, for he was still alive and kicking.
Formally, Carl Burrows out of Des Moines Iowa he been a star quarterback with Iowa State. Six foot two 180 he had been a stud. Drafted by the Jets, he bombed out and like a lot of good looking guys, marginal talent, huge egos, he hit it up to Hollywood.
He got lucky, was cast as one of those super hero guys, you know like that LUMP Lee Majors in the Bionic Man. He had a run of four years, got cancelled, got another three playing one of those Hawaiian Detectives, you know, Ferrari, Hawaiian shirts, tans and lots a gorgeous bikini clad models running amok.
