As he stared at her, she felt as if she saw herself, for there was so much pain and uncertainty in his face, she felt like weeping, not only for him, but once again for herself.
Shielding his grief with a joke, he replied. “How you ever going to learn how to make a gold chain, if I don’t show you.”
Instantly, she began to laugh, her entire body shaking as she did, which he enjoyed thoroughly.
Watching her, he wondered if he should tell her the dark truth, thought better of it, yet what was he to do? As she calmed and stared at him through her blue lasers, she said.
“Okay, that explains it…Now, really…”
She grew morose, lowered her face and after several moments raised her eyes and stared at him.
