Chapter Forty Eight Mandal’s eyes slowly opened and as they did she gazed up and out through Mal’s skylights into the black, cloud covered night. The rain had for the moment stalled out and she could see a partial slice of moon as it tried to illuminate the darkness of its storm swept world.
