Chapter Twenty Six On Monday morning and by 8 Am she had been riding for almost two hours. Needing to supplant her burning and confused mind with something, she had chosen her usual trusty standby, her bicycle. In her usual winter gear of black bike pant, several T-shirts, one being a make shift scarf, black leather gloves, skull cap, sun glasses and goggles, it had taken her in a roundabout way the two hours to reach the summit of Red Rock. Once there and sweating profusely, she stalled and stared out across the sparkling panoramas of deserts and arroyos of reds, and bleached oranges and mauves that made the desert to her mind, so beautiful. Gazing across the desert, she for a moment thought of Jason and of course the other desert she had spent such a miracle of time with the artist
