"First, I am going to check the mana in your body. We have to know if there is any abnormalities or any changes that may have happened causing you to lose your memories."

Magnicius is currently holding my right hand as he spoke those words.

I guess this is his way of comforting me.

"Do you really have to hold her hand?" The Duke asks, as if irritated.

"Would you prefer I hold her leg or neck?"

The Duke could only glare at what he said.

According to Magnicius, there should be a physical contact to make a clearer image on the lines of mana inside a persons body. Most magician do not practice this making their diagnosis sometimes faulty. He also does when he does not like to touch the person he is going to examine but he said he never made any wrong diagnosis before so it doesn't really matter for him anyway.

"So why do you have to touch my daughter?"

"Of course.... To make sure if I am still the best in this field and in any other field." He answered and then proceeded to wink at me.

Is he an i***t? I'm only 12 years old and age aside this is s****l harassment!!

"If I keep getting myself annoyed with everywords that comes out of that filthy mouth of yours Magnicius, I will go crazy."

"And if we continue talking, the longer I could hold your daughter's hand. So please, be my guest."

The Duke continues to glare at him but his smile never even waver.

I guess he continues to live so that he could aggravate the Duke.

"Stop, you too. Can we just finish this please? If you both are unaware, I quite suffered some ordeal just a few minutes ago."

The two men shut up. A few seconds and Magnicius cleared his throat and said,

"Very well, you might feel a little discomfort at first but it will just immediately pass."

"All right."

Magnicius closed his eyes as if concentrating. When he is not bickering with Adelmo and not wearing his wicked yet playfulsmile, his face looks almost angelic. In this distance I could clearly see how sharp his nose are and how this his pinkish lips are. There's also a very small mole under his left eye.

Of course people here needs to be good looking too...

Back in my country, a pretty face could have everything. Money, fame, everything and anything, you name it. A pretty face is always an advantage especially when applying for a job. You could also get away in every wrong doings. As long as you know how to use your looks, you could be almost invincible. I guess that's why in my country, there's a lot of dermatologist and plastic surgeons rampant because of how people are invested in their looks.

I would have really liked it if I was reborn as a doctor... Wait... What if I woke up and my body was doing a surgery? And I don't even have any knowledge in surgery... Yep. Disastrous. Thank God I wasn't reborn as a doctor. Maybe a businesswoman would be the best? But they sometimes get swallowed up by big businessmans so I might have some hardship... But who didn't right? To be honest, a good home would be enough. As long as no one would beat me, scream at me and sell me, it would be enough. Yes, just like this home Alzbeta has.

I was lost in my thoughts when I suddenly felt a tingle in my finger tips on my right hand which Magnicius is holding. It started as a tingle and became hot. I could see Magnicius wrinkling his forehead as if he's in pain too. A few seconds and it became scorching hot. I immediately took my hand from Magnicius's grasp and he gasp.

He said it would only be a little, right?!

I looked at him with contempt but he looks lost to with what happened.

"What is it?! What happened?!" The Duke who was sitting on my far left side rushed beside me and held my hand. It looked like nothing with my hand was wrong. No swelling, reddening or blisters but I could still feel it. No sign of any kind of burn was visible.

"I... do not know either. This has never happened before" Magnicius said with his eyes wide and his mouth agape.

"What do you mean "This has never happened before"?!"

"Is there... something wrong with me???"
