POV: Kaelira The door opened without a single knock, and I sat up so fast I nearly knocked my own head into Ronan's chin. It was Nessa. She stood frozen in the doorway with a tray in her hands, her eyes going from Ronan's arm around me to my head that had very clearly just been resting on his shoulder, and her whole face went through about four different expressions before settling on pure, undiluted delight. "Oh," she said. "Nessa," I said, sitting up straighter and smoothing my skirt like that would somehow undo what she had just seen. "I did not see anything," she said, already grinning so wide it looked painful. "There was nothing to see," I said. "Of course, my lady," she said, setting the tray down with exaggerated care, her eyes darting to Ronan, who dared to look completely
