The young cute half Latin guy kept smiling at me ..confused I was a bit shocked..was this a set up??

“Good day mister..uhmm I saw you...

He immediately cut in..

“Yeah..I came here last night to other a cup of coffee ☕️ and today am here for the job..

“So last night ..you intentionally did that??...

“Oh no..I came as a customer..

“Am Derrick..I live not too far from your coffee shop..

Derrick looked very handsome no doubt..he has a cute smile and cool dimples..he was perfect for the job..Derrick being handsome will attract more customers most especially the females..the only problem I had was finding it difficult to believe yesterday was a coincidence ..

“Derrick..you don’t look like you need a coffee job ..no offense..I mean you look rich..

He chuckled..

Derrick showed me his application and surprisingly Derrick Is more than a rich person..he was the son of a superstar..his last name was the Lawson ..the Lawson has their popular reality tv show in New York...even popular than keeping up with the kardashian ...

Derrick was serious he wanted to work as a sales guy in my coffee shop..but I don’t know why..his family is well to do plus they are famous ..

I got Derrick and apron,Derrick seemed really happy he wore the apron happily...

“Congrats Derrick ...let me show you how to use the coffee machine...I said as I walked him down the counter...

I showed Derrick everything he needed to know about the coffee shop..our closing and opening hour..how to make our Menu and so on...he was very focused and determined..I kept looking at him ..why does a rich handsome guy wants to work in my coffee shop ..I watched him while he was working he was really focused and hell yeah he was handsome...

I was soon interrupted when Becky came in..she rushed to me and didn’t even notice Derrick..she looked thrilled and excited..

“Hey hey hey Phoebe...guess who’s gonna be a super star...she said as she snapped her fingers

“It sure is...I got accepted..I won the audition..

“Omg congratulations Becky...told you your hard work are gonna pay one day...

I waved at Becky as she left..I decided to check on Derrick to see how far he is going..

“I still don’t understand why you wanna work here..you have all the money in life..I said

Soon it was already 6:30pm ..our closing hour Derrick changed the sign ..I cleaned the tiles and checked sales...my instincts were right..Me hiring Derrick really boosted my sales ...

“Alright Derrick see you tomorrow..you can go now...I said as I removed my apron.,

“Alright ..it was fun working with you..he said smiling.. I waved at Derrick as he left..what a wonderful young man..I continued with my sales calculations and was soon interrupted when someone walked in ..

“Can I get one coffee please...the voice said

I knew that voice anywhere..I knew who had that deep masculine voice..it was Damon..

“Damon..,what what are you doing here..I asked

“Hello Phoebe..am sorry for not texting you before coming..

“Oh it’s fine..what are you doing here...

“I wanted to check up on you..I didn’t get to talk to you after last night incident..

My heart was racing fast..I was getting nervous and shaky..

“Do you wanna like hangout a bit...Damon asked

“That’s good ..I’ll be outside stopping a taxi..he said as he left the shop..

Damon offer was so tempting..I wanted to say no but I couldn’t..each time I were with Damon I felt less worried and more of my self..I grabbed my bags and took off my apron to go meet Damon..

Damon had already stopped a cab for us...I was curious if where we were heading to..

“So where are we going to??...a steak house??...sushi house??..i asked curiously

He chuckled

“You’ll see..just get in..he said as he opened the door..

I curiously got in and soon we were on our way to the mysterious place Damon was taking me to..

“So how long have you been friends with Ashley..Damon asked

“Uhmm..we’ve been friends since high school ..probably 10 years now ..

I chuckled..

The cab stopped at a exquisite restaurant..it was a steakhouse..

“I knew it..I was right it’s a steak restaurant..I said laughing..

He chuckled..

“I didn’t wanna spoil the fun..he said as he held my hands out of the cab..

I felt the tingling sensation in my stomach..like butterflies ? were in my stomach..We walked into the restaurant together..we sat were Damon had booked..the restaurant was so shining and breathtaking..everything in it looked expensive..

“Are you sure Ashley would be cool with this?...i asked

“No ...I actually wanted to bring her here ..but she had to attend to a client ..

“Yeah..so let’s order something..

I grabbed the menu book and everything on it was too expensive..I could decide on what to choose ..

“Damon everything looks very expensive here..should we just get out of here through the bathroom window..I said whispering to him

He laughed

“I knew you were gonna be fun to be with that’s why I asked you to have dinner with me...I can afford in Phoebe just choose what you like...

I ordered something from the menu so did Damon..our food soon arrived and we digged in ..

I blushed

“Well my name is Phoebe cornet..I was born in California ..I was recently dumped by an asshole..and I own a coffee shop..

He smiled..

“That’s actually nice...aside from the part where you called your ex an asshole?..

We both laughed..

“So what about you..I asked curiously.

“Well am Damon by name..I love singing ..I was born here in New York..and I own a sea food company ..and I am scared of lizards ?..

I couldn’t help burst into laughter ???

“Are you kidding me right now ..lizards??...

“I know it’s funny..but I do hate them..A lizard once jumped on my face..oh God I almost died...

I kept laughing at Damon...

“You’re so hilarious....I said

“I know right...the only cool thing about me is my see food industry...

We laughed...we were soon interrupted when I saw Luke with a day walk in ..i immediately covered my face with the menu ..I didn’t want him to see me..Damon found it kinda weird and was curious..

“My ex just walked in ..he his right over there..I whispered to him..

He chuckled..

“Come on now..you did nothing wrong..why hide from him..

“I just don’t wanna see him...I hate him...

“Then this is the time to make him pay..Damon said winking at me..

I don’t quite understand why he winked at me..it was like he had a plan...

Damon whispered his plan in my ears and I loved it..we were gonna make Luke jealous..

“Are you ready ...Damon asked

Luke table was next to ours which made it impossible for him not to see me....fortunately he saw me and walked towards our table

“Hey Phoebe..what are you doing here...Luke said

“Oh..am just here on a date..I see you already moved on so fast..that’s nice for both of us actually..

“Phoebe I still love you,..please forgive me,.,

“Hey mister..you cheated on her and she’s moved on so beat it..Damon said

“Who’s this gay ass nigga..Luke said

“Well this gay ass nigga is my boyfriend...Luke meet the love of my life..Damon meet the asshole I used to call a lover...I said

“BOYFRIEND!!!!!!!...you already have a boyfriend!!!....Luke said angrily..

“Hey hey hey..we are in a restaurant so calm your self ..you don’t need to get angry...you brought a girl on a date also ..so we are even..I said as I held Damon hands

Luke couldn’t beat it ...he walked away from our table and went straight to his table..the plan didn’t just end there..we wanted to make him leave for good...Damon and I pretended we were love talking..Damon held my hands and kissed it..Luke was getting angry where he was sitting..Damon and I continued to fake the relationship until like snapped ..after some minutes of torturing Luke..Luke couldn’t bear it..he got angry and left the restaurant with his girlfriend...

Damon and I laughed as they left the restaurant...soon time was past spent and I needed to head back home..

Damon walked me to the bustop to grab a taxi ?...

“So did you like the pay back...Damon asked

“Yes I did I love it...I said smiling...

“Well you deserve a man more better than him...one day you will find the right man...Damon said staring at my eyes ..

My heart began to race...We kept staring at each other for some seconds...my instincts told me to kiss him..he looked so perfect and not only did he look good he was also a great guy...

Our moment was soon interrupted when the taxi arrived...

“Ah..the taxi is here already ..I said as I tried to get my self back together..

“Yeah..I’ll see you soon..good night Phoebe..

I entered the taxi and waved at Damon..he waved at me smiling..I couldn’t get my eyes off him ..I kept staring at him...I knew the game I was playing was dangerous and I planned to stop it ..but could I ??,..

Soon I was at my apartment..I layed on my bed thinking of the hilarious things Damon and I did at the restaurant ..being with Damon was So fun...he was funny..handsome,his manly voice could turn a lady on...everything about him was perfect...but loving him was risky...My heart is totally in love with Damon..I don’t even know if he loves me also..I sighed on my bed and slowly dozed off...

Today’s Friday...a day when New York City holds a parade on the street.. i was awoken by the sounds of drums and trumpet played by the jazz musician in New York...

I opened my window the feel the fresh morning breeze..the streets where lively with people cheering and celebrating...I really don’t get why New York makes jazz musician play on the street every Friday..but on the bright side ..it was always fun

I made a cup of tea and sip it as I watched the musician play...soon it was time for me to get ready for work...i washed up..had a long shower and did my skin glow routine..even if it wasn’t mulch expensive I was happy with it...soon I was done..I got dressed and was ready for the day...I was about leaving when I got a text from Daniel...

I grabbed my coat and curiously went out to meet up with Daniel..Daniel was in his car waiting for my arrival...

“Oh no ..Ashley is hosting a huge party..she claims she has an announcement to make to her love ones and to us...

“Why can’t she just text us the news...

“You know Ashley ..she loves to be the talk to the town..so I guess we should just honor the invite ..Daniel said

Soon we were at restaurant ..Daniel gave me the invitation card and drove off ...I waved at him as he left...

I opened my coffee shop and changed the Sign..not too long after I came in..Derrick walked in...

We were soon interrupted when someone walked in...it was a gay dude..he was in makeup and heels and a net top...Derrick and I kept staring at him weirdly...

“Are y’all gonna interview me or keep staring at me...he said snapping his fingers and chewing a gum..

It was clear he was here for the sales job...I frankly needed one more person but he was kinda off...

“Oh have your sit please...so what’s your name...

“Am Marcel ..but you can call me queen jay..the baddest of them all..the bitches of...

I immediately cut in...

“Ohkkk...?that’s enough ...can you tell me about your past jobs...

We started business and everything wa showing just fine...Derrick and I were at the counter attending to the last customer in the cue ..

We got back to work and soon time was fast spent..it was already closing hour..Derrick was cleaning the tables and I changed the sign..,

“I should let you go now so you can get ready for the party ...I said

I smiled and waved at Derrick as he left...Derrick reminded me of Damon..he had the same generosity as Damon...the only difference was Damon was hotter than him..,but still Derrick was a sweet guy...

I closed my coffee shop for the day and stopped a taxi To get me home...I texted Derrick my home address on my way back home....soon I was home...I got into my apartment and washed up and dried my hair..I selected a nice sexy red dress with a coat...to prevent the night cold...I did a very good makeup and straightened my hair ..I was looking beautiful ..I sat on my bed waiting for Derick to text me...

After some few hours..Derrick texted me..

I wore my heels and held my purse and walked out gracefully ...Derrick brought a Lamborghini to pick me up..I was so shocked and thrilled ...Derrick stood beside his car with a flower in his hands..I walked down to him ..

“Hello beautiful...he said as he gave me the set of flowers ?...

I blushed at his kind gesture

“Awn Derrick thanks ..I really appreciate it...

He smiled ...we entered the Lamborghini and zoomed off...

“So is this your car...I asked

Soon we were at the event ..there were cars everywhere the party was loaded with rich people ...Derick opened the door and held me by my hands...we walked into the hall ..it was like heaven..the music were soothing to the ears...Becky and Daniel were already at the event...

“Hey guys..I said as I walked up to them..

I chuckled

Ashley and Damon were coming towards our direction...

The lady continues and it was fun...Derrick and I had some fun together with Becky and Daniel...Derrick turned out to me more fun that I thought...we were soon interrupted when Ashley and Damon called everyone attention for the announcement...

“Everyone please can we get your attention...I know y’all are wondering why I and my boyfriend called you here..well you are about to find out...Ashley said

Everyone was so curious to know what she was about to say..so was I...

“Damon and I are getting engaged next week...Ashley said as she raised her hands to show everyone the ring...
