22 One Sunday afternoon in March, Ray and Steve walked over the remote Pen Crags moors. It was a glorious breezy day of sunlight and flying cloud and both men felt reinvigorated after weeks of February rain. Ray told Steve about the list he was making of carved stone heads and Steve was immediately interested. "We'll have to do some filming up here in the summer," he suggested. "See what we can get. Just say the word." "June," Ray replied. "I'm busy till the second half of the month." Steve was delighted. "You're on! I'll put you in my diary." They were less than half a mile from High Rowan Hall and Steve said he would like a closer look.
