Today J met with Jims. It had been a long time since the events of Jims' rescue, the two of them had never seen each other. J immediately came to Max's secret house. The house was a birthday gift from the president to Max. Then Max makes the house one of the secret houses whose existence is hidden from the public. So that the house becomes a place of recovery for agents who are seriously injured and are undergoing the recovery process.
"We haven't seen each other in a long time. How are you Jims?" asked J when he arrived at Max's secret house.
"I don't know what to say. Physically I'm starting to get better but looking at my current condition. It's hard for me to say that I'm doing well," Jims replied.
J took a deep breath and sat down next to Jims. For a few minutes the two sat in silence caught up in each other's thoughts.
"What happened to them, was not our will. This is all beyond our capabilities as humans. Just believe that the truth will still win," said J.
"I know, but you don't understand how it feels for someone who can only watch from afar without being able to do anything," said Jims.
"You're still lucky, Jims. It's natural that you can't do anything because of the circumstances than you can do it but you still can't do it."
The two of them fell silent again. They have a wound together. There was a feeling that made both of them feel helpless. And there was a sense of hopelessness that they had to throw away for the sake of another advancement.
"Didn't Jennie know that Thomas was dead yet?" asked Jim.
"I don't know. For now, don't let Jennie know. I don't want Jennie's psychological condition to worsen. If she knew Thomas was dead before Jennie was sent to that place, Jennie would definitely find out who disguised herself as Thomas and take Jennie to the edge of the forest. would be complicated if that happened." J took another deep breath. The burden in his heart felt lighter. That's right, if you have a problem tell the right person so that your burden is lessened.
"Things are complicated. We lost Max. Don't lose Jennie," said Jims.
"I know. Losing Max alone makes me desperate, especially if I lose Jennie. Both of them are our best agents."
Matilda brought a tray of drinks in front of Jims and J. Then Matilda left without a word. Even though both of them knew Matilda heard all of their conversation.
"Matilda must have been the most hurt by Thomas' death." J said as he continued to look in the direction Matilda had left.
"Of course." Jims confirmed as he took the hot tea. "But if I were you. I would feel the most sorry for Thomas' death."
J choked at what Jims said. Thomas' car exploded while leaving the meeting place with J. J should have warned that the terrorists were also after them.
"I know. And I do feel that way. You don't have to doubt my feelings anymore," said J with regret.
Both fell silent. Some time passed. Jims and J were busy with their own thoughts.
"Has the president agreed to kill the terrorists one by one?" asked Jims suddenly.
"Of course. Everyone's moving."
"Good. They can't be given a chance to repent. Because, every chance we give them, they always manage to kill many members of the secret service. So until now there is no one else to join."
J understands how Jims feels. But indeed working as a secret agent must be prepared to sacrifice one's life. That's why the identity of each secret agent is always hidden, even if necessary fellow friends do not know their true identity.
"What are your plans if Max remains unaccounted for?" asked Jim.
"Don't get me wrong. We've found Max, but our golden boy doesn't recognize me at all. The last time he saw him was in the park. Max lost his memory." J said sadly.
Jims took a deep breath then patted J on the shoulder.
"Why don't you take Max by force?" asked Jim.
"I was about to do that, but Max dodged and I quickly lost track of him."
"It's unbelievable to hear you say you lost track."
"It can't be helped. I'm also human," said J making Jims unable to argue anymore.
"Get well soon. Jennifer needs your guidance."
"I can't. I promised to stay here until Max comes back. You don't have to worry about J. Jennifer you can count on. Even if one day Jennifer is seriously injured, that woman will never die," said Jims.
J looked at Jims with an incomprehensible look. But Jims just smiled faintly.
"Jennifer was dead once. But came back to life in a short time," said Jims.
J looked at Jims in disbelief.
"Steven made Jennifer a rat. Likewise with Janeth. Only Janeth's has mutated and put Janeth in the wrong position. They were injected with a different liquid."
"Why did I just hear about this?" asked Jims with a very surprised expression.
"Max told me. Didn't the three of them disappear for quite some time."
"You're right. I should have suspected from the start," said Jims.
"Reassure Jims. Everything will be fine. That's why I came here to encourage you to get well soon and help me find Max. We have to find them soon.
Jims nodded though he wasn't sure he would recover. Max once told Jims that the effects of the drugs injected into Jims by the intruder were permanent.
"Nothing is impossible in this world. Everything has a timeframe. Likewise with disease," said J.
Jims just nodded and said thank you. But remembering what happened to him made Jims remember who the real culprit was.
"Tell me, who would have the heart to do this to me?" asked Jim. He had been patiently waiting for someone to tell him about the real culprit. Because Max always avoids when asked the same thing. As if Max didn't want Jims to know about it. This time Jims wished J could tell him.
"So Max didn't tell you. I just found out. Maybe it's for your own good Jims. Max worries that when you find out who did it, your situation will only get worse."
"Trust me. I'm used to bad news. It won't affect me."
J took a deep breath. Staring at Jims intensely, then said quietly.
"I'll let you know once you're fully healed. So, come to my place immediately to find out the answer." J got up and walked away without giving Jims a chance to persuade him again.
Jims could only stare at J in annoyance but helplessness.
