CHAPTER 8: DID YOU WIN?

1175 Words
It was early the morning when Marsh3ll and Khagura travelled to the kingdom of T’a. Their plan was in action, all they had to do was to arrive in T’a for the attack on the palace. Blq had left Mrs. Jones and inhabited the body of a traveller using a carriage in order for him to transport Marsh3ll to T’a to avoid him walking there which would have taken him twice as much time to get there. I am bored said Marsh3ll as he was laying back, looking at the sky. Blq asked if he was interested in hearing a story about the war between demons and angels. Marsh3ll with an uninterested facial expression, looked at Blq and told him to proceed. Blq: “The story starts with the king of the underworld name Sathane, starting a fight with his father…” Before Blq could continue, Marsh3ll interrupted him by telling him that the story that he is telling is starting to bore him. Blq: “Sir, please be patient with me… this is how I tell stories.” Fine proceed.  Blq: “As I was saying. Sathane did not believe in his father’s ideology of how the world should function. He wanted the angels to live on land and be part of the development of the world. But his father did not want that. His father decided that his son should go and govern the underworld were all souls that have done bad deeds would go to get punished. That action alone started the war.” Marsh3ll: “So, you are telling me that both father and son did not see eye to eye.” Blq: “Yes.” Marsh3ll: “So, how did the demons and angels end up being part of the family feud?” Blq: “They become part of the war because they were weapons of the two. Demons were with Sathane and the angels were with his father.” Continue. Marsh3ll said as he laid back to listen to Blq’s story. Blq breathed a sigh of relief and continued with his story. Blq: “Well as I was saying. The war was very intense. Both sides’ lots greatly as the angels fell from the sky one by one. Demons vanished into nothing as the arrows from the angels fell like rain from the sky. Sathane and his father were nowhere to be seen as. A lot of the soldiers believed that their fight was on another dimension, while others believed that they were watching us from their throne rooms. It was humiliating.” Marsh3ll got up the minute he heard Blq say the word ‘humiliating’ and asked “why do you say it was humiliating?” Blq sighed and before he could answer Marsh3ll, he heard a whispering sound as if someone was talking. He did not say anything and waited for the sound to stop. Khagura in Marsh3ll’s ear. “The fight was humiliating in a sense that we did not get any training before hand, and we did not understand or know how to kill an angel. That is the reason why. A lot of us learned during the fight seeing what others did and perfecting their attacks.” Khagura kept quiet as he noticed that Blq was about to answer Marsh3ll’s question. Marsh3ll: “Blq, you were about to say something, what is it?” Blq: “Oh yeah. I was about to answer your question. I paused because I noticed that you might be talking with Khagura.” Marsh3ll: “Oh yeah. But I need you to tell me why you felt humiliated.” Blq: “Well the humiliation that we felt was because we did not know how to fight angel even how to kill them. We were falling like flies as their number remained unchanged. The war lasted for a millennium and during that time more demons kept on coming from hell and so did the angels. We never thought that the war would end because of that. But one day, through the smoke in the sky. A bright light shined on us. It did not hurt or even banish as to hell. It felt warm and welcoming. Then a voice sound through the loud screams of dying soldiers and humans that were caught up in the fight. Blood was everywhere, corpses laid there waiting for their burial and it said. The war is over. Marsh3ll: “What?” Blq: “Yes. The war ended just like that.” Marsh3ll: “Well that was disappointing. After everything that both sides went through, it ended just like that. Did you win?” Blq: “Well that, no one knows. Both sides are claiming victory, as both mother*ers never announced to us.” Marsh3ll: “Well someone won the war. There can’t be so much blood shed without any victories. Or am I being too naive?” Blq: “Look boss, I know it is disappointing to hear that but even Khagura could attest to the information I am giving you. We were not told about who won.” Khagura kept quiet as he did not know how to respond to Marsh3ll’s burning question. Did they win or not. Marsh3ll to Khagura: “Did the demons lose the war? Was it the reason that Sathane’s father stopped the fighting? If you want me to be god of war then tell me what happened that day.” Khagura kept silent for a while as he thought about what answer he should tell Marsh3ll but before he could answer he heard Marsh3ll say, if you lie to me or hide anything from me I will never forgive you and I will not become god of war. So Khagura started to speak: “When we heard the voice in the sky telling us that the war was over. We hurried over back to hell to confront Sathane and get answers for the many questions we had for him, but the main question that was burning in everyone’s mind was ‘did we win the fight’. Unfortunately, Sathane was nowhere to be found. He was not in his throne room or any room in hell. It was like he disappeared on us. We looked for him all over but to no avail.” Marsh3ll: “What about his personal guards?” Khagura: “None of them were found. We believe that they were either killed in the war or captured by the enemy. We still do not know what had happened to either of them till now.” Marsh3ll: “Well we should find him and bit up the answers from him. Then claim his throne for ours. The demon race should rule this land.” Khagura did not say anything but just smiled as he knew Marsh3ll was the kind of person to avenge those who have been wronged.
