The days are getting longer and the weather has definitely improved. I"ve certainly seen a lot of country on this trip. I"ve been taking my own sweet time. I would guess that it has been about two months since I was thrown out of the trailer and into the river. This has been a very pleasant voyage compared to previous ones and I really haven"t had any problems at all. But I"m awfully lonesome. Being on your own just isn"t what it could be. I"m kind of a people decoy and, as nice as it is being on this voyage, I am ready for it to come to an end.
There are some immense bluffs along this part of the river and timber as far as I can see. It is beautiful country and I"ll bet that in the fall when the leaves turn it is an incredible sight to see.
