Damien’s POV
I tried calling my wolf again and again but got no response.
My heart dropped and breathing stopped for a moment when I uttered the words with great difficulty,
“My wolf…. He is not responding”
I heard sounds of gasp and I could see sadness replacing everyone's features.
“What happened to him?” I asked Dr. Miles, already assuming her answer.
“ Because of wolf’s bane and silver your human side had weakened a lot but you are still alive. It means your wolf was bearing the most of the pain fighting against wolf’s bane to keep you alive. And maybe in that process he…..” she trailed off, not completing the words.
But I understood what she wanted to say.
He might be dead, to save me.
