Alissa's POV
It took king Alonty awhile to realize the woman who was talking to him.
"Miss Johanna." He gasps, "I thought you were dead." The king whispers in surprise.
She let out a light laugh as she walked closer to is. Celia and Julia stayed by the door watching us carefully. As if they were ready to pounce at these men at any time.
"An old bag like me could die at any moment, but before I go there is something I must do." She says stopping infont of the crowd.
"Call off your guards." He instructs the king.
" I can't. Their traitors." He protest.
"Come now, no time to be childish. You are the king." She says with a knowing look in her eyes.
"Why are you here?" He asks her in a stiff tone whilst glaring at her.
"To do what's right, these girls a really Alice's daughter's." She blurts out point at us. "And I can prove it because I was the one who delivered them from her womb."
"What?" Alison and I aks in unison.
The room erupts in whispers and gossips ones more.
"That can't be possible."
"It is, and there was traitor in the castle that day. While king Zeldon was out fighting for us, his people, his kingdom. Someone let a traitor get into he castle." She explains, "Alice went into labor a few days after he left for war. The traitor killed all the midwives at castle that day, but they didn't know I was one, when Alice went into labour I delivered these two beautiful baby girls. After finding out the traitor was here and wanted to kill the feature heirs to the throne Alice begged me to hide them." She stopped speaking and a tear slipped down my cheek from the pain I saw in her eyes.
"She the safty of her babies were more important than anything else, so I found a woman to keep them but when I come back to the castle..... she was.... she was gone. And that was the last time I spoke to her. I think the enemy got to her."
Almost everyone in the room was left speechless or in tears.
"She never told me what she wabyedbtonname them, I named them after her, Alison and Alissa. As for the undeniable proof, girls show them your necklaces."
Alison and I shared a knowing look then we pulled out our necklaces.
"Come closer." She commands us and we walk to front of the room joining infont of the crowd.
"These necklaces were given to me by queen Alice herself, she said to give them to the girls. They are engagement gifts from each other, they exchange necklaces on the day 5their engagement was official. The were enchanted when the two got married and because of that they react to the crown."
Everyone watched in silence from shock of what they were hearing.
"Bring the crown close." She tells the Pope.
He slowly approaches us and when he put the crown close to my necklace it started to glow like the sun.
She bonded to Alison and he pushed the crown close to her and her necklace glowed like the moon.
"What kind of trickery is this? Stop this nonsense and crown princess Melrose."
"King Altony,I'm sorry to do this." The pope whispers before clearing his throat.
"I hear by postpone the coronation of princess Melrose under the grounds that the true and rightful heirs of the throne have returned." He pauses to look at is. "These two ladies will remain at the castle while everything is sorted out. If any harm comes to these girls whole they are staying at the castle the king himself will be held responsible." He announces then puts the crown back into glass case..
"Dad do something." Melrose begs.
"I-I, I can't." The kings says through gritted teeth with clenched teeth.
"Then I will!"
In one swift move the princess grabbed a sword from one of her guards and charged towards me. It happened so fast I couldn't react then I saw black hair flash before my eyes.
Black hair?
"Alison no!" I screamed in horror as she jumped in front of me taking the blow.
She dropped to the floor moaning in pain and blood quickly soaked her dress.
"Your next! I'd rather kill everyone here than not be crowed!" The princess shrieks and everyone stares screaming and running for their lives.
"Alison why." I cried as I tried to stop the bleeding. "Your such a hypocrite!" I shout at her.
Celia and Julia rushed over to us, they also helped me to try and stop bleeding.
When they took over and realized she might not make it all I could see was red.
"You b***h!" I shriek at princess grabbing a sword. "You ganna pay for what you did!"
"Stop, you don't know how to use a sword!" Julia stops me by holding on to the already heavy sword.
"Let go!" I shout at her in rage but she doesn't budge she kept holding on to the sword.
So I let go of it, shocking her. Then I ran after the princess with my bare hand.
I felt hot.
Hot with rage and and anger.
Hot, like I've been tossed in a volcano.
"Alissa stop!" I vaguely hear someone scream but I was already charging at her with my bare fists.
I dodged when she swung the sword and punched her, when the punch landed I saw a flash of light.
A flash of light?
The spot where the punch landed was instantly burned and she screamed dropping the sword.
I quickly grab it and when u looked down on it it started to melt a d my palms were glowing with light.
"Look! She has the same powers as qUeen Alice did. She really is the true air to the throne!" Someone yells amidst the chaos.
"Its true. Queen Alice was the only one who can use light Magic!" An older guy confirms it.
Instead of attacking me all the guards bowed down to me.
And all the nobles where trying to save themselves stopped running and turned to bow down as well.
"Stop wasting time bowing to me and start saving my sister!" I shout.
"Don't worry you can heal her." The woman who saved is said.
"Me? But I can't."
"Yes you can, come here." He instructs.
I quickly walk over to Alison carful not to touch her or anyone else.
"Instead of thinking about revenge, think about peace or a happy time in your life. Maybe even your favorite memories with her." She tells me.
"How is that going to help?"
"Trust me." She says gazing into my eyes with complete trust.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath before I concentrate. At first all the bad memories surfaced but they were slowly replaced by the goods ones if the time we spent at Alvern's mansion.
Instead of feeling hot my hands felt warm, I good time of warm.
"Now rest your hand on her wound."
"I'll burn her." I start crying.
"No you'll heal her." She nods at me.
I return her nod and slowly rest on of my palms against her. I didn't know if it was working or not but it wasn't burning her and she wasn't groaning in pain.
"It feels so warm." She mumbles.
"She's all healed now, she'll come too soon enough."
When she opened her eyes I couldn't explain the emotions I felt in that moment. I started crying as I held her, she hugged me back.
"You broke your promise." I sobbed all over as I cried. "We said no one would die, remember!"
"No one died, and it's all thanks to you." She whispers in my ear, "thank you for saving me." She hugs me tightly.
When I finally let her go, the room was almost empty.
All the nobles were sent home, leaving only Zian, Zane, Celia, Julia, Alison and I. Some of the guards had left and the king was just standing there looking at us. He daughter was taken away by some of the guards for trying to kill us and the pope had fled for his safety when the fight broke out.
"Where's lord Alvern." I decide to ask the king.
"You don't have the right to speak to me." He looks at me with disgust and hate.
I got up and walked closer to him"Tell me where he is or I'll burn you alive." I hiss for him alone to hear.
I see a flash of fear before he quickly schools it.
"Fine." He hisses at me. "Gaurds go retrieve the prisoner."
