LYRA The air between us crackled with tension so thick I could barely breathe. Zeviar's arm was still around my waist, solid and unyielding. Orion's hand gripped mine, warm and refusing to let go. And I was caught between them, both of them pulling me in opposite directions until I thought I might split in half. "Let. Her. Go." Zeviar's voice was low and dangerous. Orion's jaw tightened. "You first." I'd had enough. "Both of you—stop!" I wrenched myself free, stumbling back several steps. My chest heaved as I glared at them. "I'm not a toy you can just fight over." Zeviar's expression darkened. "Lyra—" "No," I held up a hand, cutting him off. "I'm done with this. Done with both of you acting like I don't get a say in any of this." Orion opened his mouth, but I turned on him too.
