Brianna’s POV The couch sighs under our weight as he lowers me onto it, his body hovering over mine like a shadow that could either shield or destroy me. My robe is gone, my nightdress rucked high on my thighs, the thin lace doing nothing to hide the way I am trembling. Enzo’s gaze drags over me, slow, deliberate, as if daring me to regret being here. “Tell me to stop,” he says again, but it’s already too late, his voice is gravel, his pupils blown wide, his chest rising too fast. “I can’t.” My voice is steady now, even if my pulse isn’t.
