I packed for survival. Overpacked the more accurate description. Two duffels, one solely full of granola bars, a medical kit, water bottles, towels, and half a dozen flashlights. I even stuffed a book of matches in the pocket. Because John said we were staying in a cabin and I was from New York City. There are no f*****g cabins in the city. And there were maybe two in Springfield. Both of which I adamantly avoided. "It's not camping." John reiterated, grunting as he lifted my bag into his trunk. We were off to New Hampshire.
