It was already dusk Zora was hurrying back home, so that she may not put her parents in a state of worry searching for her. But in the end she arrived at home when she is already late, her mother had been calling her for long hours enquiring from his elder brother Tosh where Zora was. Her mom had summoned Tosh to go and look for her sister in the homestead of their uncles and aunts. When Zora arrived she found her mom angry she questioned her daughter where she had gone. Zora in her defence she told her mom that she had gone to the sacred forest of her ancestors to offer sacrifice for her special day which will take place tomorrow. She was not ready to give out a word of the whole story of what had transpired out in that sacred forest, that she had broken the greatest rule among the laws of the witches. Her mom was impressed by the bravely of her daughter to go and offer sacrifice to the ancestors but she did not want to show it. Instead Mokobi told Zora that today you are going to milk the cows so that it may teach you a lesson and learn that it is indiscipline for a girl your age to go in the forest having not informed your parents of where you are going. Zora was not angry when she went to milk the cows, she felt that she deserves the punishment given to her. She finished milking the cows on time. Dinner had been prepared early that night so that the household of Janake could retire to their beds in time . And catch enough sleep to be well active for the special day which was awaiting them tomorrow. But that night sleep could not be found in the world of this young beautiful girl Zora, she was filled with excitement eagerly waiting for the day of tomorrow. She could not resist pondering thoughts of her saviour Kim who had really come to her rescue just in time when she was needing help. Thoughts of her first romance were not left behind that night she was missing that experience of her first Kiss with Kim. But her hopes were down she did not know if she will ever come to meet the young man again maybe untill she fulfills the prophecy of reuniting the two clans of witches the raguri and the muraguri clan. Zora believed she will, she must if not for the interest of her clan but then for the interest of her lover Kim who she had met. As she slept that night she made her purpose clear. Early in the morning in the homestead of Janake the compound was as busy as a bee in the preparation of Zora eighteenth birthday. Which was a special day for every witch in the clan of raguri people. A day in witch every witch receives his or her full power and now here it was a special day for Zora had come. Family, relatives, friends and visitors were all moving up and down some could be seen fetching water, slaughtering goat, fetching firewood all to ensure that Zora enjoys her ritual ceremony in style. Indeed the clan of raguri people were united. The master of ceremony for the event was a young man called kasuku a plumb, short, handsome man who had a dreadlock hair. He was well known in the clan of raguri people for his gift to be able to project his voice clearly in a large crowd of people. Kasuku was really talented he knew exactly at which point to involve his audience with jokes to kill boredom which his audience had. Kasuku opened the ritual ceremony with folk songs and dances the coven of witches were seen dancing, it was a free style dance there was no specific move which was needed to dance everybody could be seen dancing with his or her own style. Speeches were made that day by her uncles, aunties and friends about the upbringing of Zora and that she was ready for the task which was ahead of her. Time seemed to be flying away so quickly, and now they had to rush their activities so as night could not catch them when they are not done with their ritual ceremony. It was around 4:00pm when the master of ceremony welcomed Janake, her wife Mokobi and their daughter Zora so as they could perform the last ritual on their daughter. The master of ceremony handed the knife to Mokobi, as a tradition of the people of raguri clan the wife is the one who was supposed to cut the palm during the blood covenant ritual. Mokobi sliced Janake palm first and that of her daughter followed. They joined their hands so that the blood of her dad could stimulate the power of Zora for the ritual to be complete. The coven of witches were all standing their waiting to witness the full transformation of Zora's power. They were like the doubting Thomas in the holy bible they did not want to hear the tail of the miracle rather than to witness for themselves this unique gift that Zora was going to receive from her ancestors, and become the most powerful witch in the land of raguri clan. The coven of witches awaited until night fall but nothing mysterious happened to Zora. Zora was filled with shame she wished that the ground could open and swallow her alive. The sorceress, wizards, witches and the magician who had gathered there to witness the great power they gave up waiting and started parting ways heading back to their homes. Concluding that maybe Zora was not the chosen one by the gods. Little did they know that Zora had broken a rule in the land of the witches that is why the gods had forsaken her. Kim was pondering her thoughts that day wondering if she will ever come to see Zora. Was she really in love with him as Kim was? or that day in the forest she was messing with his mind. Kim was not at ease he kept asking himself many questions which he had no answers. Kim wanted to know more about Zora but he was not there to be found nor did he have a clue on how she will come to see that charming lady again. But as the wise say no great idea has ever been found with a man drinking milk rather they all started when someone was seeping a beer. As Kim was seeping her local beer which was commonly known in their community as muratina an idea struck on his mind how she will try her lack of getting in touch with Zora. Finally Kim decided to do what the steam of the beer was telling him.He believed that his plan was going to work he had hope and confidence in himself. He made up his mind to go to the love sculpture which was in the sacred forest of his ancestors and, see if the fate of the nature will reunite him again with Zora. That night Zora was stressed she felt as if her ancestors had abandoned her she kept on asking herself why her, how could this happen to her on her special day had her ancestors forgotten about the prophesied witch. When she remembered she was filled with disappointment for the embarrassment that she had caused her family. The coven of witches who had gathered to witness the power of Zora who was going to be greatest witch in the land of the witches, they all returned to their houses with broken hearts. The only power Zora had was of mind control lifting only small and light things in the air, she felt deserted by the gods of their land. Zora cried that night with no one to give her shoulders to cry on. Not even her parents came to check on her that night she was lonely, they had given her space hoping that her full transformation will take place. But Zora did not want that she needed someone who she could talk to, she needed someone who could tell her that everything is fine to relax that when the time is ripe her full power will come to light. Nevertheless if wishes were horses beggars could ride on, that someone which Zora wished to get could not be found that night.
