Chapter 4:Freya

I touch my chest and I can already feel my heart pounding against my rib cage. My whole body is tingling with a weird sensation and the only thing I want to do is run away as fast as possible. I take a long look at the expensive watch in my hands and unconsciously sniff the scent that is wafting from the expensive item. This thing probably costs more than my life and I don't even know what was I thinking grabbing his watch like that.

"He is our mate ! "My wolf whispers in glee.

No, he can't be our mate ! He is so weak and the state he was in makes me feel like it was a mistake with fate.He didn't even want to know who I was! I couldn't even detect his nature.

I shake my head and proceed to go back to my sister who is already waiting for me. I managed to get what Fawne needed but ,she is probably mad at me for taking so long.

My wolf keeps pacing back and forth ,pleading and pushing me to go back to the man who I just almost slept with on the spot. His wonderful cinnamon scent, gentle touch and striking blue eyes that turned me into a puddle .

"Go back to mate ! " My wolf Lilly pleads ," He is waiting for us ."

"No , I won't ,"I groan,"Besides , I don't understand how I would mate with someone like him. He doesn't smell like a human or a regular wolf and he has no right to force himself on me ! "

"But you wanted it ! "My wolf chides," You accepted his touch! "

"Please, stop ,"I cut her off instantly because she is acting like a love sick puppy and I have had enough of that already.

This is the first time my wolf is acting out of character and it's harder to control her now but I can't blame my wolf. My body itself is on fire and I still feel his soft touches every where on my skin and how weak I felt next to him.

I almost bump into a car as I cross the road to the apartment that my sister is in. I take a deep breath and burst through the door with the items that Fawne told me to get.

"Where have you been? "She literally squeaks when she sees me," You have no idea what has happened! And I don't even know how I can help her now ! "

"What are you talking about ? "I frown while rushing to my twin who isnt moving or speaking.

Celeste looks like she is sleeping peacefully but she isn't. The spark in her eyes is gone and the only thing I can see is a literal body of my sister in a sleepful state but she isn't sleeping. When Celeste was awake, she was barely able to speak and she didn't want to be touched. There's no way my sister is dead.

Panicking ,I rush to her side and check for her pulse immediately. I sigh in relief when I realize that she is still alive but I don't know why she isn't moving .

" Freya ," Fawne sighs and comes closer to my side , " Your twin sister is in a coma state and I have no idea what caused that and I'm only a healer ,so there's nothing much I can do ,"

I turn my head towards Fawne with a flabbergasted look. She told me to get some ingredients at a*****e and now she tells me she can't help my sister.

" I thought- "

"Something serious happened when you left and I don't know how I can explain it. She just closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep,"Fawne speaks.

I'm dumbfounded and confused because so much has happened in the last few hours and I don't even know how this happened. Looking at Fawne's face ,I realize that she is also confused. I grab her collar in frustration as I try to fight back tears ,there's just no way Celeste is in an eternal sleep! What the actual f**k is this ?

"Do something right now! "I cry desperately," She is my life and I can't go on without her! "

" Freya ," Fawne replies angrily ," I'm not a witch okay ! I'm a healer and healers can only do so much. You obviously understand that right? "

I understand perfectly what she means by that.Healers only treat wounds and sicknesses but if something this serious can't be solved then I'm doomed. Secondly,witches are so rare. I let go of Fawne because that was such a d**k move to do that to her.I shouldn't have done that to her.She is only helping me and I should be eternally grateful to her.

Fawne sighs and touches my shoulder," There's a way but it's going to be hard ."

"What is it? "I perk up immediately

" Well , there's something called a blue lotus that grows under the full moon ," she answers," This is just a gamble and the treatment might take sometime to wake her up ! "

"So ,"I rise up from my position," tell me where- "

" Freya ,it's not that easy ,"she shakes her head slowly ," Blue lotus are extremely rare and are found on the black market. Not everyone has access to the black market because not everyone is a supernatural. "

"I don't understand, we are both not humans so why should we find it difficult to find this black market ? " I ask confused.

"Because you have to pay your whole life for it ! "She cuts me off," it doesn't matter whether you cut off your arm or leg because it's extremely expensive. "She explains.

"Is there another option? "I insist.

"No ,"Fawne sighs," But if you want to try then you can start by looking for something. Life in the city is different and it's not like the pack life you are used to. I know people in packs trade but that doesn't happen here, "

" What if it doesn't work ! "I ask worriedly.

" I'm sure it will because I have heard of how witches use it for more serious things. You need a blue lotus and a witch ,"she frowns thoughtfully ," but you need to form strong connection to access one ."

So that actually means I have to look for a job and probably work my whole life for it. If I'm lucky ,I might sell this watch in my hands and get something but I still need a witch and Fawne says that the treatment takes long because she doesn't know why Celeste is asleep. I look at my twin sister and my heart is literally in pieces ,it's like watching myself in a coma and it hurts.

"Well I need to find something I can do but I don't how I can do it , "I roll my eyes and collapse on the nearest seat.

"Well , here are some papers with Job ads ,"Fawne smiles and hands me plenty of papers," you can start tomorrow morning or any day"

"Thank you ,"I smile back in appreciation even though my mind is still back on that mysterious man I helped in the alley.
