CHAPTER TEN

JELENA

My heart is racing really fast and even though the scent is fading I still feel weak to the bones and I didn't do anything

“Jelena” I hear Aaron's voice from outside finally

“I'm in here” I say with a small voice

The relieve is instant

“See, he cares”I say to my mind

“Are you good?? Can I come in?” He asks frantically

“No I'm good, I will be out shortly” I say

Finally, he has come to save me, I knew I could count on him especially in moments like this, I heave a sigh of relieve internally

The moment I stand up from where I tried to stay hidden, my vision becomes blurry instantly that I wave a bit making me kick something

“Jelena, are you sure you are good, sure I shouldn't come in?” He asks again

“Nope I'm good” I respond back opening the door

“I'm sorry I took that long” I say apologizing

“It's fine but we have to go home right now, I got a call, an attack on the pack so can you get things running and packed in ten minutes time?” He asks

“We can go straight to the airport if it's that serious” I say now feeling on the edge

“Okay let's do that, we can request for our stuffs from the hotel later to be delivered home” he says

“Alright then, can I pop in and tell Daniel goodbye??” I ask with hope in my eyes

“I'm sorry but no” he says abruptly

On the roof top, I hear the helipad sound as we climb the staircase leading to the roof top

I didn't even realize that they had a place for landing but that's not even the subject matter right now so Jelena focus

I scold my self

We step out and the wind from the blade blows breeze strong enough to push me back then I feel the Aaron's hand on my waist guiding me to the staircase leading to the pad

“Sir, here at your things” someone says appearing beside us

“Are they for both of us?” I yell into Aaron's ear because the loud noise from the pad is too much

“No, we would get yours later” he says and then the door shuts behind us and before minutes we are up in the air

The moment we get settled in, Aaron just goes to a separate part of the plane and pops in airpod and I am left with my thoughts

I understand that he didn't have time to let me know and I suggested we go instead of packing first but if he had time to pack his, he could have just ordered for mine be packed right??

Was that the call he took earlier when we were coming up?

I shouldn't judge him though, his pack is having some issues so he has his reasons and he probably forgot

If he doesn't care about me he could have just left without me right??

Tired of being in my head, I plug in my earpiece and play something to ease my mind and Adele's voice does the trick because I slip into oblivion real quick

I feel someone shaking me violently and I jerk awake

“Stand up, we are home, my driver will take you home, I will talk to you later” Aaron says already walking away towards the entrance

Sigh

Home sweet home I guess

I allow the driver guide me to the car and we start the journey to the house

I wish he would allow me help him though, he only tells me about the bare minimum and never goes beyond that and it hurts

I know I might not be of great help but I would love to help him too

“Ma'am we are here” Soel says bring me back from my thoughts

“Thank you Seol, see you later” I say steeping out, he nods and drives off and I walk towards the gate and put in my code

Finally home I guess

I enter my room still thinking of a way to get to Aaron to maybe ask him if there is something I can do to help

I have been calling him for the past ten minutes and I guess he might be very busy but I just need to know he is safe at least because war breakout no matter how little it is, in my world, it can get as dirty as possible

Giving up as I don't get a response, I walk towards the garden, I greet the people I see on my way

Asides the staffs, the house is actually quiet which means my stepmom and sister aren't around

I walk farther into the garden, the uncleared areas of our land as if being guided by a scent

I don't know what but I keep feeling a pull to go towards the sound

From afar, even with my weak hearing, I can hear the waves, the scent hits me the closer I get to whatever is pulling me in that direction

Then I start hearing the whispers

“You know I did it because I love you, why does it have to be her?” I hear a female voice and instantly my brain registers as Alice

Who could she be talking to

I move closer to get them in my point of view and my heart stops

“You know she is the only one I can use to get the sacrifice ready, her blood is the rarest blood amongst us werewolves because we need a rare blood for the sacrifice” Aaron replies

“I know, I know, you have said it a lot of times and I'm trying to understand but it ain't easy watching you be so close to her” she says

Aaron moves closer to her and pulls her in then whispers something in her ears and I hear her giggling

Then he sensuously pulls her closer, kissing behind her ear very softly, his hands already pulling her dress up and on greeted by naked skin, he kisses her lips so delightfully

Moving very slowly, he backs her into the tree closest to them, then he puts he mouth on her pointed n****e, the other one looks so red from where I stand

Alice lets out a loud moan

“Be quiet, she doesn't know I'm here” he say quietly

I try my best to stay as hidden as possible so he walks away, I take that a my cue to leave but then, my fortune doesn't have me in her side because I step on a wood and the sounds alerts them to where I am so I just start running

I can feel them behind me chasing and I think someone is in wolf form because I hear a growl and my body fills up with goosebumps

“Jelene wait, how long have you been here” I hear Aaron ask

But I don't turn around to confirm, I continue running till I get to the edge of the cliff and so I back up a little bit just before I fall off

Turning around, I see both Aaron and Alice staring at me, Alice in wolf form and Aaron giving me that poppy look he knows gets to me

But not this time!

“Baby, just take a step towards me, I can explain” he says but then I try backing a bit even though I'm scared of falling off

“b***h get back here already, I know you already know what we need you for so get your ass Here already” she says

I don't even realize when she changed back and she is stark naked

“The pack can't carry children because we need pure blood to cleanse it of the curse, so that's where you come in, I need to carry his babies so YOU ARE MY SACRIFICE “ She says coming closer and I step back unconsciously

“Stay away from me” I say now frantic

“ I guess I have to convince you the hard way sister” she says and runs into me

I trip and fall and then someone catches my hand immediately before I can fall

From afar, I see Aaron face all blank and I know this is my end
