Austin paced the floor in front of the fireplace in the great room. Courtney had never returned to Arizona. No one had any damn idea where she was. When Austin had called the diner, the only number he had for her, Edith Meyers was as shocked as he was. Edith hadn't even known Courtney had purchased a plane ticket to return. Jake stood from the couch and crossed his arms. "Could her flight have been delayed?" he asked stupidly, out of suggestions. "For two days?" Austin barked. He fisted his hands in his hair. "Did you actually see her get on a plane?" Jake sighed. "No." Austin's worst fears were playing before his eyes, like a warped movie reel. "What if she was taken? Hurt somewhere?" Or what if she just hopped a plane bound for somewhere else and disappeared. His stomach revolted. G
