Dragging her feet out of the room for the first time in two days with tired eyes and scorn , Maria walked through the corridor , following Uma , who was taking her to the study as ordered by Anthony .
He wanted to have dinner with Maria but she had made sure to eat before him , to defy him , obviously , but he had no plans to let that work on him .
After eating dinner in silence with David , he asked for Maria's audience right at midnight . This was on purpose to ruin her precious sleep .
