Chapter 4

Craig's POV

Heaven. Pure heaven.

Nothing else came to mind as our lips touched for the first time.

It was just like I thought.

Her lips were soft but she wasn't shy. She gave as much as she took.

Her fingers were combing through my hair, and little moans escaped her lips each time i bit at her lower lip.

She was so responsive and I could practically feel her warmth through both our pants.

If we don't stop soon, I won't be able to stop at all.

I lifted my head and looked down at her eyes.

We were both trying to catch our breaths.

"I have no idea what you did to me, but it seems I can't control myself around you". I told her in a whisper.

"Feeling is mutual" she said, but something was off. Her eyes looked too sad. And it became clear why with her next words.

"But I can't help but wonder what do you gain from getting involved with me? Did you lose a bet or something? Do you realize I'm a rotten egg in this town?"

I looked at her dumbfounded. How could someone so special, kind and gorgeous think so little of herself?

"No. I didn't lose a bet. Not now, not ever. I really do like you. And I want to see what can be between us. I've never found anyone so intriguing as you. Would you please give me a chance to prove my pure intentions to you? Please?"

She stared at me. I could see war playing in her head. I just hope the side that wins will give me a chance.

"What does giving you a chance mean exactly? Elaborate for me please".

I breathed out a sigh of relief. At least she was willing to listen.

"It means that you let yourself feel. You don't try to sabotage yourself or anything between us. You look at it with wide open eyes and let me in. Who knows I might be the love of your life, but you would shut the door in my face and let me go."

I couldn't help a little smile to escape at the last words.

I finally got a smile in return as well and it made my heart beat faster, and I didnt even care if she could feel it.

"So what you're saying is that you want to be my prince in shining armor and save the day and make me fall in love with you in the process?"

I laughed lightly at that.

"I wouldn't mind you falling in love with me, since I just met you and I can see I'm going down that path already."

She blushed a deep red at my words and I couldn't help it but find it adorable. The red on her cheeks made the green in her eyes pop out so much more.

And she was absolutely stunning.

Her next words were barely a whisper, but I heard her anyway. " OK. I can try. And I promise not to run at the first obstacle."

A huge grin escaped me at that moment and I crashed my lips into hers once more.

"I promise you won't regret it, sweetheart. You'll see how good we can be together."

"Shut up and kiss me some more, I'm getting addicted to your kisses already."

And I was more than happy to make her wish come true. All night long if I can have it my way.
