A Dangerous Proposition
Jason gripped the steering wheel tightly, his knuckles turning white as he sped down the dark, empty streets.
Beside him, Samantha sat in stunned silence, clutching the file that exposed Liam’s darkest secrets.
“He’s going to come for me,” she whispered.
Jason didn’t take his eyes off the road. “Not if I stop him first.”
Samantha turned to him, fear clouding her eyes. “Jason, you don’t understand. Liam isn’t just some jealous billionaire. He’s—”
“Dangerous. I know.” Jason exhaled, glancing at his phone. The unknown number’s text still glowed on the screen.
“You just signed your death warrant. Both of you.”

“We need to leave the city,” Jason said.
