Sam picked up Ally and ran back to the apartment, she giggled with how serious he was. They locked eyes and he smirk which made her want him more. She wanted him? Ugh this can’t be right. But he’s also bringing her to her mate so I guess there’s no shame. Sam held her while riding the elevator than threw open the front door only to be stopped by guards from the Iridescent kingdom in the living room. Sam gave Ally a sympathetic face then immediately went back to the serious man he was before. Odin looked disheveled like he’s been arguing with somebody. His sleeves were rolled up and his top buttons open. He looked delicious to her. While Sam was light and warm Odin was dark, dangerous and dreamy. She wanted his teethe in her. She felt underdressed around the guests but stayed, she had a feeling this would affect her. The guards were the biggest people she has ever seen in her life. They had uniforms that looked purple and gold at first glance but when she looked closer she realized that it was iridescent. Sometimes it looked purple sometimes it looked blue, it was mesmerizing. If they were in the human world they would look like secret service but with fancier uniforms. They were standing in what looked like a protective formation. “Gamma Samuel, nice to see you again. Your Alpha can backfill you on our discussion. Have a good night.” Ally realized the man talking was in the middle of the protection circle. He was shorter than the guards but would be a normal height in the human world. He had red hair, green eyes and wore spectacles. He twitched his hands when he spoke and then strode off with the guards surrounding him. When he walked passed her he glanced but didn’t waste more then a couple seconds on her, it made her feel little. Sam raced over to beat them to the elevators and let them out. When they all entered and left, Sam looked at Alpha anticipating his needs. Sam was good at looking at what people needed, she would make sure to look out for his needs. “Let’s all sit and talk. All. Of. Us.” Odin said and Ally got the hint, she sat in a love seat and looked to Sam to sit beside her. Sam did so without even thinking about it. Odin sat in a single chair across from them and immediately locked eyes on Ally grabbing Sam’s hand in her lap. “You guys must have made up. Hmmm. Well, I’ll get right to it. The king and queen have felt their daughter’s presence yesterday and the search is on. Ally, I told you I can’t make you my Luna and I mean it more now than ever. The moon goddess said she is who I need to marry to save our people, I have to think of my people and kingdom.” Odin looked vulnerable in that moment, like he was convincing himself he needed to do it more than telling her he had to. We sat quiet for a couple minutes just thinking and simmering in the information. “What can I do to help? Maybe I can have a job in this and be useful. Ally said determined. Odin looked at her softly. His warm honey colored eyes honed in on hers almost sweetly. “Sam find a job for Ally in the pack. You wouldn’t be of help looking for the princess, my future wife. For now you work in the pack till we can think of what to do. I won’t seek you out. Goodnight.” Odin stood and walked out without saying anything else. Ally’s heart felt like it was breaking! She grabbed her chest and felt Sam lift her up and take her to her bed. That night he spooned her till she fell asleep. She couldn’t enjoy the feel of his body against hers because she was to broken. She wasn’t worth it to him. In the morning, after a needed shower she felt fresh and ready to take on the day. Sam sat during breakfast and explained all the jobs that she could feel and salary. She was drawn to a job at the packs daycare. Sheila, the head caretaker in the 3-4 years old room, was about to give birth to her first baby. After discussion she signed documents about her bank and direct deposit and they set out to the Opal Pack Daycare. The town was so perfectly planned out that everything flowed nice. She wanted to explore some of these buildings during lunch breaks or the weekend. Cassie would love it here, she would call her tonight to tell her about it. Sam opened the door to the cutest daycare and Ally walked in. A beautiful blonde woman with a round belly was waiting for them in the lobby. Ally said bye to Sam and watched Sheila take so many steps just to get to the back. “Sorry dear, it takes a while. Security is taken very seriously for all the pups.” Sheila had a sweet southern accent and was dressed in a soft floral dress with cowgirl boots. Ally liked her, she was sweet but spunky, maybe Ally needed friends. “Pups! Of course there pups, d-do they look like puppies?” Sheila looked at Ally to see if she was serious then doubled over to laugh! “Now girl, don’t make me pee! I haven’t laughed that hard in ages. You don’t get your wolf till you’re 18, I can see why you thought that though. You really don’t know anything about this stuff, huh? Well good thing you have me. We’re gonna be great friends!” Sheila grabbed her arm and brought her in the class she’s going to be working in. The kids ran over to Sheila and immediately started climbing on the woman to play or get picked up. “Ok kids, I have someone very special to introduce you to. This is Ms.Ally, she’s going to be your new teacher.” The kids all locked eyes on Ally and after a couple seconds of staring they all rushed over to her. They grabbed her hands and pulled her deeper into the classroom to play and read. Hours later after she was introduced to all the parents and all the kids are gone she starts cleaning. She sends Sheila home who looks exhausted. “I’ve never seen the kids take to someone so fast. Usually they hate new people but they loved you. You’re special, I’m glad we’re friends.” Once the room was cleaned she walked back to the Alphas house and ate with Sam in comfortable quiet. “One of my warriors said his wife likes his kids new teacher. You must have done good today, keep it up.” Sam said. “I grew up in a foster home, I used to a bunch of crazy kids who don’t know me.” With that I jumped up and did the dishes and went to my room to call Cassie. “The family didn’t want me Al. What’s wrong with me?” Ally’s heart was breaking, she needed to get Cassie soon. She gave her some encouragement and said I love you before they had to hang up. Ally was determined to get her family together, she just needed to see if Cassie could live in the pack. She needed money to adopt her to, maybe she can get an advance. She would ask Sam in a week or two once she got good at work. A knock at the door broke her focus and when she opened she saw Sam who looked fresh after a shower. His blonde hair was disheveled and he almost looked nervous. “Are you ok Sam?” She realized she only had a tank top on with no bra and shorts that were so short I don’t know if they would even be considered shorts. His eyes raked over his body and when those blue eyes looked at her he asked in a deep smooth voice “Can I sleep with you? I sleep so much better beside you knowing you are safe.” He scratched the back of his head and looked down like he didn’t know what to do with his hands. “Of course, I sleep better with you to.” Maybe if she can’t have Odin she can still have Sam? She couldn’t think about Odin. But she loved Sam with it without him, she did know that. She climbed into bed and felt Sam press his body against hers. He was rock solid and she also felt how turned on he was by being close to her. Her insides turned so hot.
