Chapter 7

445 Words
The rest of the week was peaceful. Which is surprising. Usually Friday after school is when I reminisce about how shitty high school is. But this week is different. Not only did Ian's crew let me be, but Ian's been extra kind to me. It felt weird since everyone knew we were sworn enemies. It's so unusual to the point Ayana asked me about it. I finally told her about me and Ian's conversation. She was surprised to say the least. But she is very suspicious about his sudden change of heart. She even swore to paralyze him if he does as much as step on my toes. I'm currently in my room doing homework, when I hear a car pull up close by. I pay no mind to it and carry on. That's until I hear stones being thrown at my window. "Ian Xavier, I'm busy." I didn't know we were at that stage. Silence mere silence. I jam my feet into my flops. I head to my window and guess what, he's there. He motions for me to open my window. Is he serious? After disturbing me. I open my window I can't help but huff in annoyance. "I'm sorry to bother you..." "No, you're not." I interject. He pays no mind to my comment and carries on. "I wanted to ask you, if you could help me out with with science." He's not looking me in the eye, which means he's nervous. I calm down. I'm surprised, this is the last thing I expected from him. "Uuhm, Ian I don't know." "Please I know you and I just fixed our friendship..." "Not friendship, Ian it's too early." "Oh" He looks pained, but I can't let him in too quickly. "I know I just thought, you know you could help me." I sigh, I'm lost and confused now. This is too much. "Ian" sigh "Ok I'll help you but, we'll need to work out a schedule. He gives me that dazzling smile. I blush. At the start of the week I didn't know if that smile was for me but now I know. " Thank you" He says in a low voice. I'm glued to my spot at the window. We just stare are each other. I'm the first to retreat. "I'm going to finish up my work." "Oh, yeah. Thank you again." I give him a small smile and close my window. I head back to my desk. I need to stop this. He's not exactly the ideal person for me to crush on, taking to consideration our history. It's just a crush I brush it off. Nothing will come of it.
