Chapter 9: Family Comes Through

I woke up to the sounds of an engine running and someone muttering. I tried to sit up. "Don't get up to fast, you'll get dizzy" Sora said soothingly. "Where are the others?" I asked frantically. "The're fine the're being transported in a different vechicle" he said calmly.

"Do anyone have a plan of escape?" I asked hopefully. "Axel and the others are doing the plan as we speak" Sora said confidently. A few minutes later, we heard the vechicle stop. "In 3...2...1" Sora counted. We heard the door open with a groan.

"Good we made it just in time" Axel said. "Come on" Akoya said quietly. Sora and I jumped off the truck and ran away from our captors. We ran for for a good while. "We should stop here" Axel suggested.

Exhausted everyone flopped on to their sides. I had a strange feeling come over me. "I don't think us stopping here was a good idea" I said urgently. "Come on, what could happen, a mysterious little wolf comes out of nowhere asking us to be escorted somewhere" Kiba said sarcastically. "Your right, I'm just overeacting" I said.

I heard rustling in the bushes close by. "What was that?' Silver asked. "Oh no, not here, not now, please let it be a bunny or something" I said hopefully. A little wolf popped out of the bush. "Sister!" she said running toward me.

"Oh s**t!" I exclaimed, running in the opposite direction of her. "Who are you?" Meka asked the little wolf. "I'm Ponica, Rena's little sister, I came to get her and bring her back home" Ponica said happily. "Take her back?" Sora said sadden. "Yeah, come on" Ponica said, pulling me. "I can walk, show us the way" I said gruffly.

We followed her toward my home. "Hi everyone, I'm back" Ponica said. "Welcome back Princess Ponica" a grey wolf said. "I brought back Rena" she added. "Welcome back, Princess Rena" the grey wold said, bowing.

"Wait what Princess?" everyone said shocked. "I didn't want to tell you guys" I said. "You never learn, do you Rena?" a voice said. "Hello, father" I said. "Why did you come back?" He asked gruffly. "Come on, I want you to meet someone" Ponica said, glaring at father. "Um" I said unsure.

"You'll like him, he's going to be your bethrothed" Ponica chattered. "Did I just hear her say bethrothed?" Sora asked. "Yep, you heard right" Axel said. Ponica chattered on on how great he was. "Your going to meet him" she said.

"But" I tried to protest. She dragged me and told me to wait while she got him. "Come on out Drake" she said. He looked handsome all muscular with a reddish-brown coat. "That can't be him, he's way to good-looking" Sora snorted.

"You should be happy for Rena" Silver said. While all the she-wolves were drooling over Drake, I escaped. Sora noticed me leaving. "Where you going Rena?" he asked me. "To Granpa's" I replied.

"Could I come with you?" he asked. "Sure, why not" I said. We were walking when an elderly wolf stopped us. "Where do you think your going little missy?" he asked. "Just to Grandpa's Darisuke" I said. "All right, tell that old man I said Hi" he said to us. "I will" I replied.

Sora and I left to go to my Grandpa's, he's not really my grandpa, he raised my mom then helped her raise me and my sisters. "Where's my bride?" Drake asked Ponica. "She was here a minute ago, Silver where's my sister?" Ponica asked. "I saw her and Sora walking that way" Silver said pointing to the way to granpa's. "So she's gone to the old man's house with another boy, I think I'll go pay him a visit as well" Drake said coldly.

Sora and I arrived at my Grandpa's house. "Hello, grandpa, you here?!" I yelled, knocking on the door. "H-h-h-hello who's there?" a small voice said. "Hey Torua is Grandpa here?" I asked her softly. "Yes he is, why are you here?" she asked sweetly.

"I have to tell him why I'm here and I haven't seen him in awhile, can we come in?" I asked her. "Yes you may" she said, opening the door. She led us into a little space where grandpa was sitting on some old animal pelts. "Hi grandpa" I whispered softly. "Hello young one" he said in his quivering voice.

He was a blonde, black, and grey wolf with huge ears and milky eyes. "I came for your help" I said confidently. "With what?" he asked. "You have heard of Red-Eye right grandpa?" I asked, serious-like. "Yes I have he has a group called the Ameraku Hitenrogi" he said.

"Yes, I need your help" I said. "What do you need my help for young one" he said with his eyes alighting with knowledge. "I need to find the Eye of the Island, will you help us?" I asked. "I'll think about it" he said. "Thank you for your time" I said. "No problem" he said laying his down. "Aslo Darisuke says Hi" I added.

Grandpa was already snoring gently. "I think we persuaded him" Sora said as we were walking down the hall. "I just hope he'll help us" I said relieved. A wind gusted through and blew out all the candles. "Great there goes the light" I said.

Sora sniffed the air. "I smell a rat" he said stiffly. "Is that anyway to talk to Rena's betrothed" Drake said coldly. Sora growled. "Rena and I are getting married and there's nothing you can do about it" he said eyeing us.

Sora gave me a glare of contempt. "You have until tomorrow to say your good-byes" Drake said coldly, disappearing. I dropped to the ground, shuddering. "Rena" Sora said softly. "I'm fine" I said. "Can you stand?" he asked me. "Yes let's get out of here" I said. "All right" Sora said, staying close by me back to home.
