Seven o’clock turns up way too fast for my liking. I am a nervous wreck. I want to get this over with, but I also want to run away. I believe I can, but I fear I might fail. Never in my entire life have I experienced such conflicting emotions at once. It is an up and down roller coaster of emotions and it is nauseating. By six o’clock, I was dressed in my pack warrior uniform. I am standing in front of my mirror, staring at the Starry River crest on my shirt, praying that I will do this pack justice when there is a quick knock on the door and my mother enters. “Nervous?” she asks when our eyes met in the mirror.
