“You’re Ethel’s daughter?” I asked, shocked. “I didn’t know that she has a daughter.” Maybe it was part of the things that Cadmus doesn’t know. After all, he told me himself that it has been so long since he heard information from Ethel.
“Don’t worry. You’re not the only one.” She said, her face grim.
My eyebrows furrowed. “What do you mean I’m not the only one?”
“She meant that only a few people knew about Ethel having a daughter,” Skylar answered for her and then glanced at the girl. “Am I right?”
