{Adrienne’s POV}
I felt his burning gaze on me the whole time as I entered his office. I tried to ignore it and quietly walked towards the coffee table to place the tray. I heard the door closing, so I turned around after I finally placed the tray, but before I could even fully see him, I felt a strong arm surround my waist and I was suddenly pulled against a hard chest.
I gasped as electricity and sparks ignited in my body because of his touch. The pull between our mate bond was stronger than before. I could feel it pulsating in every part of my body, mind, and soul. And it felt amazing.
“I thought you were busy today.” He spoke huskily, his breath fanning my neck.
