A few years went by and Alfros was expanding in the territory and my dad as the king decided to make Sulphur the emperor of the eastern side to make it easier for him to govern the kingdom. The eastern territory was majorly the army territory. All the army activities, as well as training of new recruits, was done here. The Northern Territory was the Governmental wing of the kingdom headed by my father, King Lucky. The western Territory was reserved for the slaves of war captured during the war. They provided labor in farms and the Southern Territory was for the Army that protected the kingdom from attacks from the great Kaliko sea.
The kingdom did not need to war for a very long time since there has been peace and the neighboring kingdoms decided to become our allies to protect themselves from the wrath of my father and Sulphur. Father assigned to delivering supplies to the other territories. I always started with Eastern territory as instructed by father and sometimes my mother; the queen would do the deliveries but only to the Eastern Territory. Sulfur was always excited when I did the delivery as we would train some more before I visited the other territories. The trips were long and tiring that there was a resting area for the royal family at each stop.
I was always mindful of the rumors that sprung up around the Kingdom to see if I could at least catch a glimpse of an impending war. On my routine visits to the Southern Capital to deliver supplies, there was word that the slaves were planning on an uprising and that they were planning on intercepting the queen’s return to the capital and use her as a bargaining chip for their freedom.
That was a little weird because they knew the power, my father had and what would become of them if they would try such atrocity. I was not the type to act rashly to unverified intel, so I only told mother and asked her to be careful and have extra security. The way she reacted to this information was really shocking; she was not shocked even a little by it. Instead, she just laughed and said, “they wouldn’t dare.” I believed in her courage to still visit the kingdom’s empires. However, I wanted to be sure that mother was safe and that she would make the trip and back just fine.
