THE ENCOUNTER

CHAPTER TWO: THE ENCOUNTER Lightening flashed across the night sky, thunder struck, the winds howled, the trees danced in tune. People walked in quick strides in order to beat the rain that was threatening to pour but I stood under a large tree watching, praying and hoping that a miracle will happen and I would not have to do the shameful act my so-called mother ordered me to do but deep down I know that nothing will happen because miracles only happen in fairytales. I looked down the street in the direction of the club where my mother had fixed my ‘date’ with an old man who was once my father's acquaintance. I could see the bright lights and hear the loud music blasting off from the club's very loud speakers. I shuddered at the thought of standing in the midst of all that. I took a deep breath and walked in the direction of the club.Even though I didn't want to do it, I knew I had to. As I stepped into the club I felt extremely out of place and lost. I looked to the left and found girls, barely clad in different colours of lingerie, dancing on a pole like their lives depended on it - maybe it did. I looked straight ahead and I found a bar so I headed towards it. I needed to get high before I could do something so despicable and disgusting. I ordered my first shot but it did not do the job so I ordered so much more that I lost count at seven. I would have continued if the bartender didn't stop me. My vision was fuzzy, my head was spinning, I would have loved to take a sweet nap right now but I knew I came to the club on a mission and I could not leave until It was achieved. I staggered up the stairs and arrived in a long corridor with doors on both sides. I remembered mom told me that my date would be in room 12 but looking down the corridor I found two doors with the number 12 boldly written on it then I was confused. I tried to focus my eyes on the figures written on the door but it kept getting fuzzy and jumbled. I decided to trust my instinct and opened the door on my right. The room was dark, the only source of light in the room was from a lamp on a table at the corner of the room which showed a very muscular man working on his laptop. That is probably the man mom sent me to give my virginity to but he didn't seem to notice my presence so I walked up to him and tapped him lightly on his shoulder. He froze but did not look at me. “Who are you?” His voice was deep and authoritative but it didn't sound like that of an old man. “I am here to do what my mother sent me for” I managed to say in a small voice. “And what is that?” Why is he acting like he doesn't know? Did I perhaps enter the wrong room? I thought to myself but said nothing. The silence that followed his question was extremely awkward. Before I could think of a reply, the man stood and it was then I realised that he was shirtless. I could not stop my eyes from wandering towards his broad shoulders, firm abs, muscular…… I shook my head to stop those naughty thoughts from running in my head. He looked at me intensely with the most beautiful set of gray eyes I've ever seen. He was dark skinned more like an African with toned abs and a very broad chest. He was handsome. Before I could realise it, he was already towering above me, staring down at me with eyes that showed anger at first then suspicion and then something that looked like sympathy but it disappeared as quickly as it appeared and was replaced again with anger more like fury. “Your mother sent you to have s*x with me?”He asked with a voice coated in anger, suspicion and curiosity. “Yes” It came out as a whisper. I felt so ashamed that I would be losing my virginity this way but I have no choice. I always dreamt of losing my virginity to a man I loved and married, not to a stranger my mum selected in order to get some money. “You don't look like you want to do it” He said. “I don't want to but I have to, else I lose my mother” I said in my drunken state. He looked at me intensely with those gray eyes. Even in my drunken state I was scared, embarrassed and extremely shy. I thought he would get mad and treat me like a piece of s**t but instead he calmly said: “Follow me.” I could feel my heart thumping wildly. He took me to a room adjacent to the living room where he was working. I expected him to ask me to strip but rather he said good night and was about to leave. I stood dumbfounded for a split second before I found my voice. “Sir………..” I called out but he interrupted “I am not going to touch you because you're drunk and even in your drunken state you're not willing. As for the money for your mother, I would give you a check in the morning. Have a good night's rest, pretty” Then he vanished. I stood in the centre of the room wondering if I had heard right or I was just hallucinating. I lay down on the bed and exhaustion took over, I was out cold. The next morning, I woke up with a very brutal hangover also not remembering where I was. I looked around my unfamiliar surroundings but nothing seemed to ring a bell until my eyes fell on the check on the bedside table then it all came crashing down. I looked at the cheque carefully and my eyes bulged to find out that it was a cheque of five hundred million dollars. That was a whole lot of money which I cannot accept. I need to find that handsome stranger and beg him to reduce the figure. With that thought in mind I dashed into the living area of the expensive looking suite me that the booking for the room had expired and I needed to leave in ten minutes. I quickly took my purse and left.
