A lot of humans had been taking walks with magical tools around, however at the same time, Ray used to be saddened when he seen the hole between the negative and the rich. The prosperous and the effective acquired clout and attention, but the terrible and the beggars received nothing but disdain. He used to be saddened and annoyed by means of the fact that people did not appear to assist these that had been weaker than them. Instead, they disdained and mocked them as lower beings than them even although they have been all human beings the same. Ray had once made it his responsibility to shield the vulnerable however regardless of his great efforts. He had failed. After walking thru the City Centre while preserving his mother's hand, they had subsequently reached their destination. Ray was tired from all the walking; his small physique couldn't take plenty more. And gave out a small yawn. 'These beings when they are born they cannot even fend for themselves and now this dreaded curse.' It appeared like Ray;s father had some thing to do, and left the two as he made his way returned first earlier than the others. He appeared at the cathedral-like building in front of him and found that it used to be higher than four adult-sized dragons combined. Nevertheless, it used to be a marvelous sight. Scarlett, Ray's mother, was speedy to explain that the constructing was once a school referred to as Roland Academy and that it had a strict policy whereby it only ordinary Mages. This used to be the college that she attended when she was once younger, and she hoped that Ray may want to also end up its student. They walked away from the faculty constructing and arrived into an adjoining building. This building appeared less marvelous when in contrast to the important building, however one could effortlessly see that the building wasn't made with much less fantastic materials. The quantity of human beings interior the building used to be astounding. There was infrequently any area to move. Most of the people inner had been mother and father with their children. They sat down and waited patiently in the reception room. Every so often, someone would come into the reception room, protecting a listing in their hand and they would name out a persons' name. The dad and mom and the infant would go into the room where the test used to be being held and after 5 minutes or so… They would come out. Most of the time, crying… A few minutes later, the lady got here out carrying that listing again. "Ray Talen, your flip for testing…" She announced as she swept her gaze throughout the crowd. Ray jumped out of his seat and smiled. He followed his mom and walked with the woman. Along the way, Ray walked previous a toddler who was once furiously crying. Apart from pity, Ray should solely shake his head and scoff. The world was once unfair. Always had been. Ray accompanied the female into the room that he had caught a glimpse of formerly and discovered that there was once a desk and two chairs on both facet of that table. On pinnacle of the table used to be a massive crystal orb and sitting in the front of that orb used to be an old-looking man dressed in a white robe. The other seat was empty. Scarlett sat on that empty seat and she carried Ray over onto her lap. He felt embarrassed that he had to be helped over onto his feet through a mere human. He desired to discuss to himself, however the old-looking man was already talking. "Please have your son put each of his fingers onto the orb in front of you. The orb will emit mild if he has any magical ability. The corresponding color of the light will exhibit what element he excels in." Ray inwardly scoffed. A single sentence was once enough… Ray closed his eyes, raised each of his fingers into the air and grabbed the crystal ball from the sides. "Ga… Ga… Gaaa!" Ray inwardly laughed, looking forward to a grand result. Then, he heard someone's stifled sobbing. The voice was once familiar, it seemed to have come from his mother? Ray was once pleasantly surprised. Was his Genius so amazing that his mom could not maintain herself back any longer and commenced crying tears of joy? She must've been so happy to see me emerge as a Mage. Maybe I had awakened the Fire Element, equal as my mother. Ray opened his eyes and realised that the crystal ball had no response at all whatsoever. No light, no colour, nothing… What? "Condolences, however your son has no magical aptitude." The old man said whilst shaking his head and stroking his beard. Preposterous! A dragon with no magic? He need to be wrong! Ray hopped onto the table, careful that he would not accidentally topple the crystal ball over onto the ground. He commenced walking closer to the old man and mumbled. "Don't wie…" "I have mawic…" Ray glared angrily at the old man while pointing to himself. "I am sorry younger man, but there is nothing that I can do." The old-looking man let out a sigh and apologized. But Ray was unconvinced. He grabbed the old man's beard for he was once so frustrated. He used to be a dragon! He was the Great Dragon Sen! How could he not have any magic aptitude? This historical man ought to be mendacity and he's attempting to hide my extraordinary powers from my mom in order to scam us! Ray yanked tougher on the historical man's beard as he became angrier at the result of the test. Scarlett latched onto his arm, making an attempt to yank it away from the historic man's beard. But since Ray was resisting hard, her efforts made it so that a few strands of the historic man's beard got here loose. As the hair got here falling down onto the ground, Ray was so amused that he started laughing. "Ga, ga, gaaa…" The old man was once sooner or later able to eliminate my hold from him as he stood up and shouted. "Get these two out of my sight, proper now!" Ray stayed silent the entire day trip returned to their town. His mother was once still quite aggravated for what he had achieved to the ancient man. The son and mom pair gave every different the bloodless shoulder as Scarlett in the end fell asleep. But Ray was nonetheless broad awake. What was once going on? 'Was the world punishing me for the quantity of people that I have killed returned then?' 'That would not make sense…' 'Otherwise, why would I have gotten this 2d chance? If the world determined that I deserved some punishment, then it would not have let me reincarnate.' Ray nodded to himself. He reckoned that the world need to be checking out me. 'If I am unable to turn out to be a Mage, then I have to discover some other way to get my revenge.' Ray reaffirmed his resolve. He then idea about his father. When they finally received , Scarlett advised Jack about the unlucky news. Jack used to be understandably upset, however it wasn't as serious as Scarlett.
