Two horses meant twice the work, twice more to learn, and two fierce personalities to work with. And yet it was the best thing ever. I was going to love keeping a stable of my own some day. Horses were amazing, they were soulful and honest creatures with unique personalities of their own. They were much a preferable company to other people. I told this to Erik and he agreed wholeheartedly; it was the same way he felt about his music and the theatre. “Wait, why the theatre, if it’s made up entirely of people?” I asked. “Because in theatre, everyone has to put on a mask. It’s also the one place where humanity can gather in a relatively peaceful state, work together towards a common goal and share a story with the world.” Erik answered. “Christine hates it, you know.” He sighed.
