I slink down the stairs as Lin is taking a shower, by herself, yes. I didn’t think it would be such a great idea to join her, that may have made this morning even shorter on time than it already is.
At the bottom of the stairs, Tys greets me, all excited that I’m back in his world and he can see me again and all those other things that dogs are excited about when they see you. Even if you’ve been gone for two minutes, it’s the same as if it would have been two hours, two days or two months. They just love it when they see you again, and Tys is particularly loving. I cuddle him for a while, running my fingers through his fur as I try to get rid of this nervousness inside me, then make my way to the kitchen.
