CHAPTER 3 KARA I shiver as I pull the door closed behind me. It’s a quarter to eight in the morning, the first day of my new job, and I’m taking Tys for his morning walk. It’s still dark out and streets which have become sort of familiar to me because of how often I’ve been on holiday here, I’ve started to see in a different way. It’s been three days since I moved to the island. Sanne and Josie left on Saturday, leaving me alone with my thoughts, with Tys, and with my sparse belongings. I walk up to the crossroads, towards the nearest edge of the town, past the evening store and a really old school building.
