Chapter 4

She tapped on the keyboard on the computer steadily, fixing the errors in the book, she was at the last one and it was almost 5 pm. She stretched out making a little sound that could pass for a moan.

Katherine hadn't had anything since noon and she groaned, hurrying up to finish her work so that she could grab something to eat.

"Ugh finally I'm done, now let's go show him who the boss is" she giggled mischievously

She knocked twice and waited for his usual response, she went in.

Her eyes caught the sight of his toned body, he had unbuttoned two buttons, and his toned body was exposed.

She coughed getting herself together "He is looking for girls to seduce, he won't be able to get through to me," she thought

"Yes? What is the matter Miss Gray" he looked up at her

She placed the books carefully at his desk, giving him a sly look, she gave him the cunny look too, a smirk on her face.

"I'm done Mr. Hemsworth," She said searching his face, but Mr. Liam is one with a poker face, so he hid his reaction carefully to not allow his enemy to win.

"I guess you know how to use those hands of yours, aside from lifting a coffee cup. You may leave now". She rolled her eyes at him

"Is that all Sir? She looked at him, mad that he wasn't giving in to what she wanted.

She left his office annoyed and almost banged the door. "Woah Katherine, are you good, you look like you could punch someone now"? He asked her teasingly

"I'm good sir, don't worry about me".

She went off to get her meal.

"What happened? She looked furious Johnny asked him

"Nothing", he said smiling. I'm glad she didn't get what she wanted, she must have expected a commendation".

"Did she do all these? I told you, Man. She's really good. I hope you guys won't tear up the building someday, with all these bickering "

"I didn't expect she could finish up these, I least expected it. But she proved me wrong by getting it done before time"

"I told you she's competent. I will be off now"

"He is evil, very evil. He gets on my nerves. Such an annoying i***t"

"Relax girl, he's your boss, don't try to kill him, Kath". Vanessa said

"Yeah Vanny is right"

"Whatever. Katherine heaved a long sigh smiling".

"What's that mischievous look, Kath? I hope you're not planning on killing him" Mira said teasingly

"Not yet. Guys I gotta go now, I don't want his problems, I've still got some work to do".

She bid them bye and gulped down her drink. Feeling better again she walked back to the office.

As she was on her way to the elevator She overheard them again. She was at least happy that at least she got the reaction she was looking for today. Although his would have been better, she sighed sat at her desk, and resumed work.

Vanessa ushered the passengers to their seats, Then a man came in with a heavy suitcase, she was trying to lift it on the baggage hold before it was collected from her by Andrew and he pulled it up. She looked at him in appreciation and he smiled at her walking away.

She continued checking up on the passengers before going back to the crew rest area, totally exhausted.

"Have you taken of it all" her boss Rita asked. A petite woman on short hair, with her lips always pursed. She is the witch herself. She always picked favorites.

"Alright then, you've done well, keep it up and something might happen this month. She said, winking at Vanessa. Vanessa simply nodded and sat down.

Mira pays attention to the sound emanating from the music, nodding her head. She was impressed with the melodies from the music overall and more proud of herself that she had made that happen.

She rounded it up with the team, and the singer was happy with the work done.

She decided to get herself busy with some of her work. She was engrossed in her work and didn't notice a client working.

Her colleagues did welcome him. He went straight to her desk. His face beamed with smiles as he knocked gently on her table.

Mira looked up from her desk, meeting the eyes of an incredibly attractive young man, his hair neatly cut, his gaze fixed on her.

She recollected herself almost immediately

"I'm sorry, she said removing the earbuds in her ears, she ushered him to a seat.

"It's alright," he said sitting. I came to discuss my music with you, I heard you're good at this. So I would love to work together with you to achieve this certain goal".

"Ohh I get it then, you're welcome Sir, I would certainly give you the best, you just need to tell me the kind of music you are going for, so that I can write on it".....

"Come to my office, Now"

He hung up the call as usual.

Katherine hurried up to his office.

When she got there, he was looking annoyed. She rolled her eyes, sure that he didn't see her do that.

He threw the books on the floor

"What's the meaning of that there? Shouldn't you at least act competently".

Katherine looked at the pages and was surprised that there was an error, she had scrutinized the pages when she was done with the work. "Someone had messed with her work," she thought to herself

"I'm sorry sir but I don't know how this happened, I rechecked for any errors when I was done but there were none"

He wouldn't hear her out, he told her to redo it all over and submit it to him before 9 a.m tomorrow. She looked at him in disbelief, took the books, and walked out seething.

Katherine was sure someone had done this to her, probably one of the employees, to screw her over. She was determined to prove them all wrong. She was going to keep the Job.

Faraway from her, the ladies giggled......
