First Date

“Wanna go on a date?” That was the first contact had made with Dallas all day after she had spent quite an amount of it worrying about her, it annoyed Dallas but she couldn’t resist smiling at the message and also felt some relief knowing Cyd was okay

However, what she typed back was contradictory to what she was feeling

“Why? Weren’t those morning rides and lunch dates?” the clackity sounds of her keyboards could be heard as she typed back

A minute later, a reply popped back

“Those were just the norms customs of a relationship “Dallas chuckled at that, the girl was taking this way serious than it is meant to be, Dallas thought and typed that

“you are making this way more serious than it needs to be”

Three laughing emoji popped back in followed by a text “don’t be over dramatic, plus let’s make this as real as it can be, what’s the fun in doing otherwise”

Dallas sighed, shaking her head then shrugged as she typed back” okay sure, when babe?”

If Cyd noticed the free use of an endearment from Dallas, she didn’t let it show as she typed back a simple answer “Tomorrow”

“okay “Dallas typed back and wasn’t expecting another reply to her message but she was in when it came in three minutes later

“Sorry for not showing up today, I was really held up at a meeting. I will make it up to you later, okay?”

Whoa, not only was Dallas not expecting a reply but an apology was something she in a million years would never imagine

She was quite surprised as she typed back “Its fine, just let me know next time, I almost got to class late “

“were you worried? Cyd sent backing Dallas’s head. She could bet that Cyd was smirking about right now so she sent something to deflate the girl’s ego

“NO, not at all. I just needed a ride “Dallas replied

“Your gold digger! Are you with me because I am rich or something? Cyd replied joking with a frowning then laughing emoji

“Maybe so “Dallas sent back smiling quite widely

“Dumbass, see you tomorrow at 6, I will pick you up” Cyd replied

“So it’s not babe anymore? “Dallas replied not really meaning it but mainly to tease the idiotic tomboy

“well, sometimes you are both ”Cyd replied

Dallas laughed already expecting the dumbass not of admit her mistake. She was still typing back a reply when another message came and her smile turned into a slight frown

“sorry babe, but I have to go right now” Cyd had said

“Why?” Dallas asked hurriedly

“I got to go do something for real” Cyd replied

“More important than talking to me? “Dallas replied half joking

A smiling emoji popped in with a message

“sorry baby but maybe, I don’t know” Cyd replied 

“Blahhhh,I was just joking around. I have to go do something with my roommate now even” Dallas replied with laughing emoji

“I knew it” Cyd replied right back with a laughing emoji of her own then added

“well, I have to go now. Don’t do something I wouldn’t do “she sent it with a wink emoji that got Dallas laughing as she typed back a “okay “but it was left unread.

Dallas sighed and put down her phone on the bed then looked up to see a mischievous looking Racheal looking down at her, unknown to Dallas who had forgotten her best friend was in the room while talking to Cyd, Racheal had been watching her various reaction to her phone and was suspicious of her already.
