26th December 1018 / 2018 1710hrs "WALK IN THE PARK MY SWEET TIGHT ASS...!!! WATCH OUT FOR THE HONEY BEES...!!!" less than 3 minutes into the beautifully innocent looking garden, came a swarm of Honey Bees. Even if it was a low-level threat, but dealing with 5-6 of them at a time would prove to be quite a handful too...! "FORMATION! TANK...!" I called out to the party members, and they immediately took up position so that it would be more organised as a battle formation was formed. In this formation, the Tank, Guardian and Assassin would take centre stage while being flanked by Necromancer and Mage. The Healer and Archer took the last line of defence along with me in the middle where I would be able to command the whole party. Snowball was the tank and he immediately put up his shield and protected the front guard. His partner, the Guardian named Crusader was getting ready to bash an incoming Honey Bee that was coming in front of the flank. *T H W U N K* *T H W U N K* *B A S H* *S P L A A A T* "Archer...Necromancer...!" I called out to the Archer and Necromancer who took the flanks to give support fire to both the left and the right to minimise threat coming in for a pincer attack. With the formation of an inverted 'V', we were able to coordinate our attacks and our CD as well. "Time...! Heal...!" I made the party remember about the CD of the active skills that they had deployed and ensured they took their mana potions when their levels had dropped to 50%. There were 6 Honey Bees and were Level 8, which was 3 levels higher than their own. Since we were in a party, the EXP would be evenly distributed no matter what level they were at, at this moment. *S W O O S H* *S W O O S H* A few successions of arrows were unleashed on the left hand side by the Archer. *B Z Z T* *B Z Z Z Z T T* The Necromancer also did not perform too bad as he too had a few tricks up his sleeves. Within minutes, the threat had been thwarted, and everyone was relieved. The Healer named WarPriestess did not realise how simple it was to perform their tasks once everyone was in position and knew what to do. All she had to do was to dump healing spells on both the Tank and Guardian and ensured that their health was at their peak since they were the ones doing all the damage at the front and stopped the threat from pushing through. "That was it? A welcoming party to come greeting us the moment we entered the portal and appear here?" Snowball commented, and everyone was relieved since now we have a Tactician on our hands. Fortunately, the guys remembered the positioning of the formation and their roles. They would only be guided in this way for a few more dungeon diving to understand more about coordination. Success also would be down to teamwork, which would be the most crucial part of any victory. "Leader, what are we going to do with the stingers? Is there any money worth in them?" one of the party members spoke up as he kicked at the carcass that was lying down on the ground. "Yes, it is worth some credits. Only to merchants and also Lifestyle Gamers who made poison for a living. Go on, take the spoils." Upon hearing such remarks and tips from me, they gladly took a stinger each and stored inside their inventory. "Let's go down the path. The next monster would be easy. It is a horned munchkin, a type of half sheep, half-demon. Hahaha...! It looks cute on the outside but be wary of its rage." I advised and soon enough, after walking for some minutes, the party members met with the Horned Munchkin. Its name sounded very cute, but the fact was much too eyesore to view too long. It was half sheep, and it was 8 feet tall. It was flanked by other 2 monsters, which looked like tinier munchkin but was as fast as the one they were guarding. We expected it to bleet and, charge towards us, but it remained rooted on the ground along with its two minions. "Formation...! Hold position...! Archer, Necro...Aim for the minions. Tank, Guardian, Rogue...Hold Position. Mage, on me...!" I commanded as we were within the range of attracting aggro, but I stopped the party mere 5 feet away from triggering it. *S W O O S H* *B Z Z Z T T* *V O O M P H* *V O O M P H* *V O O M P H* The Archer released her arrows, and every single one of it did found its mark...! Although it dealt little damage, the Archer was able to release a flurry of arrows within 10 seconds, and that would deal quite massive damage eventually. The Necromancer was able to summon death rings on one of the minions, and the death ring somehow managed to bind its opponent temporarily. This enabled a skill called Life Steal which draws away from the Life Force from the opponent and adds 10% HP to the wielder. MageHunter, the Wizard and I were bombarding the Horned Munchkin, and it was roaring with fury as it was unable to detect us, despite the rest were bombarding its minions on both the left and the right. "Tank, Guardian...Go...! Go...! Go...!" I hollered out as the Tank and Guardian came into contact with the Horned Munchkin and bashed it with the shield, while Guardian smashed it with his long sword. *B A S H* *C L A N G* *B A S H* *C L A N G* "Healer, do your thing, girl. I know it is impressive to spectate, but you cannot forget your duties...!!! Hahaha...!!!" I reminded WarPriestess since she just remembered to heal the two fellas at the fore front. Once she had casted a few spells, her mana dropped considerably and she took another mana potion. "Don't worry about consuming your potions, guys. Tinkerbell needs your support so she would be supporting you too...! She would be making you healing and mana potions too as well...!" I was kind of excited since I was leading a party like what I had used to do before. After a few more hits, bashes, strikes and bombardment from the team, the Horned Munchkin finally succumbed even before being able to use its Rage or Berserk. If it was able to use its Rage or Berserk, the guys would be in for trouble since the only person that would be dealing the most damage would be ShadowDancer. He would be up against the Raged Horned Munchkin until its Rage or Berserk had finally cooled down and was at its weakest stage in which, everyone joined in to bomb the hell out of the beast. As the Horned Munchkin fell to the ground in a heap, quite several equipment and weapons were dropped. Same goes to the two minions that were escorting the Horned Munchkin. No one came forward to claim the spoils and everyone were looking at me. "Okay, gather all the loot here. We distribute and change to better weapons and armour right now. You may drop your current one or force-sell it to the NPC in the marketplace." Everyone compiled and gathered the loot. There were several pieces of weapons suited for sword wielding gamers and it went to both Snowball and Crusader. There were some credits and it would be distributed equally. Somewhere in the pile was a scroll for The Ring of Fire. I do not need it at the moment but instead, I hand it over to DragonFire who were delighted when she received it. It was a one time use scroll and takes about 10 seconds to prepare the spell. It had a DPS of 100 per second and a AoE of 25 feet radius. There was nothing for me but importantly up till now, no one had known that the Horned Munchkin that they had just defeated was Level 10. If they had known, they would be screaming in horror. This newly appointed temporary leader is trying to murder them for the sake of levelling up...!!!
