"Hey, guys...! Are we going to be here for straight 5 hours as you had mentioned to our Captain Guild Leader earlier?" I asked the rest of the core members as they got ready their pickaxes. We had entered the general area for mining, and there were quite some gamers there who were doing the same. Definitely, the other gamers were doing it to either sell the resources for credits or maybe to build a Guild as well?
The area that we are mining would yield ores, depending on the harvesting areas, semi-precious topaz and zirconia, mining globules and EXP on Mining on our system.
"It does seem to look like it, Snowbunny. We need resources for the Guild, and I am sure our Captain Guild Leader would need more than what she had gotten from us. She had sacrificed her in-game credits to purchase the books on Blacksmithing and Armoursmithing. I am sure we would be able to gain something from that, don't you think so?"
"Hey, Snowbunny. I had wanted to ask you this, but I never got the chance to do right till now. What kind of business do you have with Captain Guild Leader as she would pay you 500 credits for you to travel from Ascon over to Votrieburg. Are you her sweetheart of some kind? You acted as though you are, and both of you seemed to hide something from us." Snowball asked as he raised his pickaxe over his shoulders.
"Hahaha...You guys really think a bit too much. Snowball, the relationship between me, and our Captain is nothing more than a coincidence. I came over to her house one day to deliver the A-Class and S-Class nutrients to her. She may have gotten my number from my auntie that came over to the house to perform part-time cleaning." I explained as I spread my hands to them.
"Ooohhh... So basically she got to know you first from your auntie. I wondered how the interaction goes. Maybe your auntie was telling our Captain that he got a nephew as crazy as her in playing MMORPG?"
Crusader pipped in, and I laughed since that was what our Captain Guild Leader had told me about it during her SMS to me.
"Hahaha...That's what exactly our Captain Guild Leader was saying. By the way, I would find it harder to level up than you guys because I am still using the VR Gaming Helmet. How about you guys, do you own your personal gaming capsule already?"
I asked since I was curious since they had gotten to Level 21 while I am still at Level 12. That is 9 level difference and its A LOT OF DIFFERENCE...!!!
"Us? Gaming capsule? Sheesh, man. We are just like you. All of us are using VR Gaming Helmet, and of course, we wanted to lay our hands on the Gaming Capsule, but we are all short on dough. Right now I think across the board we have about less than 1k credits that would be equal to only 250 dollars. Our Captain Guild Leader informed us to store the credits since it would be a rise in a few more weeks. It is going to be like a stock market. So right now I still have to do my parttime work delivering pizza around the estate. The rest also have parttime jobs, and we would make do with our jobs if we are short of dough. You know what I mean." Shadowdancer replied as he was gesticulating on how wonderful it would be if we all owned our very own Gaming Capsule. The gameplay would be less rigid, and it would be as close to 97% fluidity.
"But how come you got to Level 21 in a matter of days since the launch like me. But I only got to Level 12 as a lone wolf. Did you all find something that gives this kind of perks?"
I asked some more since I was not satisfied with the answer as I brought the pickaxe on some outcrop rocks. My gathering was set to automatic, and I would clear away the masonry since it would just clog up space in the spatial storage.
The other members looked at one another, and Magehunter replied. "Our Captain Guild Leader brought us to an unmarked greyed out zone to do catacombs diving. I think the name of the Catacombs was The Bowels of Stoughlin. It had a Lich that gives out quests, but we did not approach the Lich first."
"We dived the catacombs that had 6 levels, and there was no way out unless its a party wipe. We were Level 8 that time, and there is no way for us to level up inside the catacombs."
"We faced mobsters of level 20 to level 25, I suppose. Damn...! Our Captain Guild Leader was considered crazy that time, but she executed the plans according. We escaped alive every time on every level and only had scratches and bumps that reduced only 25-45% of our health points."
"It was the most gruelling adventure that we ever had. Other than that, The Phoenix Delves at the Hamcona Timberland Forest was where our crazy Captain Guild Leader brought us to dive the first time on HELLISH MODE of the DUNGEON...!!!"
"We were only Level 0, and we had only those default weapons when she invited us to form a party since we wanted to earn EXP and credits...!!!"
I listened intently as the rest of the guys and girls that made up the core members related to the events. It started when our Captain Guild Leader had brought them diving in the HELLISH MODE. No wonder there are some disturbances between those rival members of the workshops and gangs.
I shrugged my shoulders since the others had not mentioned about diving any dungeons so soon. Besides, I am the latest addition to the core members and therefore, the junior between all the core members. There are so much to learn from our Captain Guild Leader.
"So you all went to the unmarked greyed out area of the catacombs before it was released to the public? How could our Captain Guild Leader know of such a place? If it is unmarked on the map, no one would know about it unless she is the Game Developer of this MMORPG?"
Dragonfire looked at me after she had turned a rock outcrop into rubble. "Our Captain Guild Leader is not the Game Developer, Snowbunny. She is a BETA TESTER, and from what we had gained from her experiences, she is very well versed in this MMORPG. She even bought the Blacksmithing and Armoursmith Skill Books, remember? We had gone to The Wintry Hills and Bellowing Slopes to harvest ice and fire crystals."
"Those ice and fire crystals would be turned into something to our advantage once we had found someone who would be versed in Gem Crafting and Gem Enhancing. At this moment, we had enough stock so we would leave it as it is."
"Hmm, no wonder she knows some of the loopholes in this MMORPG. She is a BETA TESTER, after all." I remarked as I brought my pickaxe on the rock outcrop, but it failed to have any yield yet.
"Yeah, our Captain Guild Leader was the one who got the hidden quest and got rid of the fake Mayor of the Town Hall. It was a werewolf in disguise, and she got the peerage of Baroness just by exposing the werewolf...!"
"Yup... not only she got a peerage, but she had also got the title of Beast Tamer too. I wonder that kind of title is that, but I am sure if she uses that title, her prowess would increase and be able to subdue Beast type Bosses I think. Just like any MMORPG games."
I could only nod my head as I swung my pickaxe at the rock outcrop and wondered how come the rest of them could only easily swing the pickaxe for about 4 to 5 times before they could mine the rock...! I had been at it for almost 8 times, and the rock outcrop still would not crumble...!!!
"Hey, guys...!!! What is your Mining Level right now?" I asked with curiosity since the rock before me would not budge at all.
"All of us are Level 10 in our Mining stats, bro. You have a long way to go, and I think if you look at the bar underneath the stats, it should show you the percentage of your progress. We had been at it like 4 hours at The Wintry Hills and another 4 at the Bellowing Slopes."
I thought to myself and wondered, "No wonder all of you are more OP or overpowered than me...! All of you had a good headstart, and I think I would need to seek our Captain Guild Leader for pointers since I am lacking behind in Levels."
"Don't mind my allocated points, I still have reserves of it and what I would need to do is to allocate accordingly. I am an MT and would be learning more new skills along the way. So it would be best to reserve a handful of points, and maybe I could get a hold of some shouts or chants scrolls to learn."
"Heh...I didn't know that the simple girl who received my deliveries that day was an awesome Guild Leader. She's so unselfish to share her journey with some unknown people in a party. Thus she gained their trusts and confidence to eventually set up and register a Guild. So I was the missing link to a complete jigsaw puzzle...!"
