Recipes For Armoursmith

1634 Words
30th December 1018/2018 0600hrs Dawn had just broken over the horizon in Votrieburg as I exited from my room at The Unarmed King's tavern. I got my wooden staff ready, and checked out from the room, as I made a beeline over to the Crafter's Avenue. It would be the place where I would be spending another 5 hours...No, 6 hours so that I would be able to smith as many copper ores as I could. I saw that everyone in the team was online and I bade them good luck in handling the Guardian Boss at both The Wintry Hills and Bellowing Slopes. I hoped that they would be successful since both Bosses would drop specific recipes and skills books that were meant for me. I made a detour and headed out to the Archmage Towers as I seek the elderly Mage that had prepared the binding contract for the core members. There are binding contracts for those who would be employed as full-time Lifestyle gamers in our Guild. Yes, I repeat again... gamers that would be employed full-time that would be P A I D a monthly salary as what I had done before in the future. I realised that I do not have many credits with me at this moment. However, there would be a specific incident where the ice and fire crystals that I had hoarded up would be useful in the future. After I got the contracts, I sent them over to the core members, and I returned to my original destination - The Blacksmithing Zone. "Good morrow, I would like to book the Apprentice Blacksmithing Room for 6 hours, please. Here are 300 credits for the rental of the space." I handed the proprietor the credits, and I got the key to the 1st floor where the Apprentice Blacksmithing Room was situated. Once again, there was no one else queuing up this moment since no one had begun to smith out the copper ores yet. In the future, the rivals would only start mining the ores once we commence to churn out the armour pieces. This would be initiated by the other competitors months after we had spearheaded Twilight Trading. Well, we are going to keep that way, am I right? Fortunately, those with peerage were unable to purchase lands with such resources on it or else it would be monopolised by those filthy rich pay2win gamers. And they would be rearing their ugly heads pretty soon. I chose the furthest room at the end of the corridor and entered. I had 30 pieces of copper ingots after 10hours. I checked the system, and it read that Luck, Success Rate and Blacksmithing had increased to 20% rating. Which means I would successfully smith one copper ingot from five copper ores. Well, at least it's better than 7 from the day before...! I took off my robe and started to pump the bellows as I threw a few pieces of copper ores the size of a small baby into the furnace. It took me some time before I picked one using a tong and place the red hot copper ore on to the anvil. This time I picked a 10 pounder hammer and started to work on the copper ore that I had placed on the anvil. I got my stance right, and I swung the 10 pounder hammer. *S W O O S H* *C L A N G* *T I N K* *B A A M* *T I N K* *T I N K* I finally got the momentum correct as I continued to hammer the copper ore. The sparks flew from the anvil, like fireworks in the night, as I landed the hammer on the copper ore. My Metallurgy at Level 5 with 3% progressed increased every time I hit squarely on the red hot copper ore. The perfect sound of the hammer connecting with the copper ore indicates clearly of the effort that I had placed in. *T I N K* *T I N K* *T I N K* I am getting better after some time, and I am proud of it. Very soon the copper ingots piled up, and those useable ones were set aside while the rejected ones were disposed off in a void space just next to the anvil. Once again, I was sweating buckets as I continued with the hammerings. The other day I was using a 5-pound hammer, today I wanted to experiment in using the 10 pounders which proved to be more effective. After 5 hours, even at a success rate of 20%, I had only managed to smth 8 pieces of copper ingots. And I saw that my Metallurgy had increased to Level 8 with a proficiency of 12%. I looked at my other stats, and it too had improved across the board to 23%. I am hoping to hit 25%, but it was just too difficult on my end to actually do everything on my own. If only the Blacksmithing Skills Book could be replicated, I am sure there would be more Blacksmiths learning the trade at this moment. Since I had the upper hand to procure the skills books from the Auction Hall, no one is gonna stop me now...Hahaha...! "D I N G. You have 15 minutes more to utilise the Apprentice Blacksmithing Room. Your time will expire, and if you wish, you may approach our friendly staff to book another session. Thank you for your patronage and may you have a great day ahead." The system rang out across my room as I dropped the hammer down and let my arms hang loose. Damn...! That was tiring...! I took a towel and wiped myself down, and I checked my system communicator. The core members had read and signed the binding contract as official core members of Silent Knights Guild members. I countersigned mine, and it is already complete. No one can jump to other Guild, and no other Guild could poach the members away without paying a royalty fee of 1,000,000,000 credits...!!! One billion credits might even be a drop into the ocean...!!! I am satisfied with what I had seen, and I packed my readied copper ingots and left the room. I sent a message through the communicator for all the core members to meet up. The appointed place would be at The Town's Portal. A few minutes later, the core members responded to me as they would be heading there in 15 minutes. It seems that there would be some collections to be made from the guys. I also assumed that they had defeated the Boss and had alternately waited for the Bosses to respawn. 37 pieces of copper ingots jiggled inside one of the pouches that I would turn into one of the most sought pieces of armour. This piece of much sought after armour that I had planned to forge would be able to be used by MT, Guardian Knight, Mage, Healer and Necromancer. As for Ranger and Rogue, I have a better idea of what kind of armour that I would try to forge later on. But right now, I need to draw the recipes from the Votrieburg City Storage as the recipes come in a sort of blueprint. "Tinkerbell, I am going to need the recipes for the Armoursmith. Did the guys hand in their loot yet from The Wintry Hills and Bellowing Slopes? If you see any kinds of recipes meant for Armoursmith, just transfer it to my inventory. Here, get ready to receive the copper ores." "Captain Guild Leader, the guys had returned from the spots that you had mentioned, and they had successfully gotten the spoils. There are recipes for Aroursmith recovered from there. I will send it to you right now. There are some recipes inside the Storage, and I will send it over to you as well. If you do not find a use for them, you can transfer it over to me." I had cleared my spatial storage space, and I have spare slots to keep the recipes. There were multiple recipes that I had gotten based on the drops of Bosses that guard the two mountain tops. The recipes for that specific armour was better than the bronze ones that our members were using...! This copper armour piece is one hot-seller, and it rakes in the money quickly. This was due to the attributes that one could get that was higher than the normal bronze one that they had acquired. With a type of binding account when a gamer equips the armour, it could not be traded or sold but could be returned to Twilight Trading for free. In this way, no one would be able to purchase them for profit. It could not even be traded with one another or even to any NPC merchant. In this way, Twilight Trading would be able to gain control and monopolise the market. Within a short while, I had all the recipes that I had asked for from Tinkerbell. I was satisfied that the blueprints that I require are the ones that I needed the most to push our Guild towards recognition. "Now it is already past 1100hrs, and I still have more than half a day left. Off I go then to the Crafter's Avenue to perform my Armoursmith from zero." I remembered that the armour piece that I first started off might not pass the initial phase, but had its fair share of attributes as well. It could be sold but at a much lower price. Those armour pieces that I ever made would fit gamers from Level 0 to 5 only...! What can 37 pieces of copper ingots do because it takes a whole lot more if I were to design a full breastplate instead of a half plate of armour. But I am never put off with such a task since I knew there would be a way around it somehow.
