Get Together

29th December 1018 / 2018 1845hrs "Hey, Guys. We had done our bit already. I won't be able to sell the current loot, so I let Tinkerbell handle it and store inside the Votrieburg City Storage in the meantime. Besides we would only be able to sell it to the merchants once the map is open for public. So, what are you going to do after this? We clean these bodies up and then log off? How about some supper in the real world? There's still time to catch up, right?" Snowball was suggesting for some get together time and it seemed a good idea as we would be able to bond. "Let me get hold of our Captain Guild Leader. She seemed offline, and I think she would be able to respond to Line messages, right? I wonder how long she would be offline so we better be quick. I guess she would like to try her hands at the Blacksmithing thingy again and I wondered how long she would be spending her time there." Tinkerbell suggested as she entered her room at The Unarmed King and logged off. The rest all followed suit and went into the respective rooms to log off. A lot of gamers saw us spending lavishly of 400 credits each to get ourselves a tavern's room but its one of the best and safest place to be. Noone knows that they can be killed offline if they were sleeping anywhere else in the non-safety zone area. =*= I was resting in my open gaming capsule when I heard my phone buzz indicating that I had received an incoming message. I wondered who had texted me since I had been in my gaming capsule for quite some time. I hopped down and walked over to the study table, where I placed the phone and checked the message content. It was from Tinkerbell, and she would be gathering with the rest of the guys and were inviting for supper. I checked the time, and it showed slightly after 7pm. I guessed by this time, the guys had finished levelling up to Level 25 and hope that Snowbunny had already levelled up as well. Now, the only person that is left behind right now is M E...! I am still at Level 12, and I think by the time I log in, I would be the lowest levelled gamer in The Lord Of The Red Dragons. I texted back that 9pm for supper is a great idea, and the location that they had picked was just around the corner. It would be 15 minutes on a bike ride, and the problem is that my scooter is in the dealer as I had mortgaged it and left it there for safekeeping...!!! The only thing I could do was to withdraw some credits, exchange it for cash and then book a cab down. Or else, I would be left with nothing and I don't think the balance I had with me after the purchase of A-Class and S-Class nutrients would be enough. I set my alarm clock to ring 30 minutes earlier as I went to lie down in my gaming capsule since I had moved my bed into my parent's room. I tossed and turned inside the gaming capsule and discovered I cannot sleep a wink right after I receive the text message. "UURRGGHH... Might as well go for a cold shower and then have a light dinner since I would be going out for supper with the members. Besides, I could save a bit and have some light beverages." I thought to myself as I climbed out from the gaming capsule and put on a night robe instead. The lights at the living space were lit up, and my parents were definitely awake. There should be dinner reserved for me on the table and true enough, there was a plate of fried rice, with sunny side eggs and some sausages. The chicken wings had long been devoured by Zairon as it was one of his favourites. Even he had his share already, I am sure he took mine as well. =*= "Hello, guys...! Have you been here long? Haiya...it seems that you are all not having supper but had just finished dinner as well, right?" I had texted Tinkerbell, and she told me the exact spot that they were sitting. The first thing I noticed was Snowbunny, who was grinning from ear to ear as he looked at me in my tin up jeans, a midriff tee shirt and sneakers. Plus my wrists and ankle weights on. The next thing I noticed was that the plates and bowls of food that the members had devoured since they had arrived earlier and decided to go on without me. Fortunately, I had my late dinner before I left home, or I would be hungry as hell. "So you guys come here often? Heh, its weird seeing you guys in civilian clothes. Hahaha. I was half expecting you all in full suits of armour." I greeted the guys as they all stood up to make some space for me to sit with the other three girls. Yup...girls, not Lifestyle gamer, Ranger or a Healer...! "Yeah, we all came from the same senior high school, graduated and still manage to contact one another to play other MMORPG platforms, but the games could not cut it. We were playing in one such MMORPG that once we reach level 10, we were cut down like sugarcanes by those pay2win gamer. There were there to make a headcount and nothing more than that. We were basically hunted down by those bastards that we could not find any enjoyment playing it. Furthermore, there are no credits to gain from there and then its just a waste of data and time, right guys?" Snowball spoke up as usual, just as if he was in the party and everyone agreed with him. I didn't know Snowbunny was playing this type of MMORPG and it was a great delight to find everyone here around the table. Dragonfire filled up a glass and offered it to me. I thanked her, and I rose from my seat and raised the glass high. Everyone saw what I was doing and quickly refilled their glasses and stood up. Puppetmaster was halfway sipping his drink, and he immediately asked for a refill. Some contents dripped on the table, but it does not matter to them. "A toast to a new beginning for Workshop Silverbane, Silent Knight Guildhall and Twilight Trading as well as for everyone's health and wealth. We are here to gain wealth through fair play and would not stoop to those who think that they could bully us. We may be small in numbers but lethal by heart...!" We all clinked the glasses together and drank up. "Hey, Captain Guild Leader, can we ask something? How long have you been a BETA TESTER? It seems that you had quite a bit of experience, don't we all think that way?" Magehunter inquired since he had been itching to ask the question since he had known me. "Two years, Magehunter...it was exactly two years I had been a BETA TESTER. We tested out the game and the world settings right down to the exactness of its game engine to replicate a living world. Not only it was a living world, but it is a breathing, real-world second to none." "Everything down to the physics is exactly the same, and that's the reason why you see me with this wrists and ankle weights. This is to give me some restrictions in my movement in both worlds. Once I take this off, do you realise something?" I inquired as the members all looked at me, and I still find that even in the real world, they still regard me as their Captain Guild Leader. "The movements that seemed quick would be quicker once these weights are off. I was thinking of putting another few more weights until I reached Level 20. I am still Level 12, you know..." The girls were taken aback when they heard that I would be putting more weight on my wrists and ankles to restrict my movement. In that case, they knew that I would be leaps and bounds once I had removed them free. "How is the outcome for the Blacksmithing thingy that you had spent close to 12 hours earlier...? We were busy picking at some rocks, and I just realised I was Level 0 in that kind of work. Fortunately, I picked up, and we had made quite a sum. What we earn in a day here would be equivalent to a week or 42 hours of parttime work...!!!" Snowbunny was ecstatic that he held up his wallet that had a wad of notes in them. The rest agreed as they too may have changed some credits to spend here. They knew of the fluctuations and tried to minimise their spending. Not everyone was born with a silver spoon in their mouth. "Progress had been good, I had made about 30 pieces of copper ingots, and the Blacksmithing rate is now at 20%. I just need more scrolls in Luck and Success Rate since it would amplify my success in turning these ingots into pieces of armour. It would be exclusively picked, and everyone would be able to have one each. It would serve all class, but it would be enchanted in a way that it would not be tradeable. I don't want anyone to purchase and then sell it off at a profit. What do you think?" "It's a great idea, Captain Guild Leader...a pretty good idea indeed."
