Right, I have the picnic all sorted, your brother and Alpha know where we are going so we won't be in trouble for skipping training and school, I managed to convince them there should be a special birthday pardon been as it's been such a big event for you, he said giving her a wink

Casey couldn't help but laugh, how did you ever manage to convince Ant I should get a day off training? he didn't even let me have that when I broke my arm all I got was it will heal and it's good practice bones break in combat you'll just know what to do.

Ricks stopped and just looked at her for a moment are serious? he even made you train with a broke arm?

and two cracked ribs she said shrugging wasn't as bad as I thought it would be to be honest and I was all healed after like 48 hours so wasn't really a big deal but I did think he'd let me have one session off. no such luck. she said giving him a smile with a slight laugh that's my brother for you anything and everything gives you something to work on or practice that your opponent may not have she shook her head. enough about my brother you made the miracle happen, where are we going first?

Ricks took a mental note that Ant was a hard ass when it came to training so excuses would be few and far between took Casey's hand and led her out the house through the main door. I thought we'd start with the pon you seemed to love looking at it so much, which by the way is actually a lake but it looks smaller I guess from the hight and distance of our windows from it.

Together hand in hand they took a slow walk down the road, on the way Ricks took the liberty of giving her the lay of the land, the high street is down that way he said pointing to the right. There's coffee shops, cafés, clothes shops, sweet shops, Cake shops, electronics, training gear shops, pets shops basically if you need anything from a shop it's down there. This next one to the left takes you to ..... well everything to do with training so the gym, the running track, the pool, the pack training building, the physio, weapons training grounds, wolf training grounds so all things training he shrugged.

As they went further from the house they saw another two streets that had others coming off them, this is the pack village so most the wolves not in the pack house live here it gives them independence but the safety of proximity to the house and being far from the boarder.

Then we have the forests he said pointing past the houses on the left the farming fields, over there on the right and straight down in front will take us to the lake it's set up for all sorts of water sports on one side and just chill picnic stuff on the other so you can have quiet fun or active fun either way. If you go left at the lake an go bout two miles down the road then your back in the village you and your brother were staying in, bout the same to the right will take you to a similar one then on the far side of the lake is around, ten miles of forest that's ours too.

Casey walked aside him listening, it seemed the territory had been laid out in a simple manner so she should be able to find her way around easily enough. All she desired now was to explore the lake and the wood to see what beauty they held. Looking up at her mate who she just realized is a good foot taller than her maybe even slightly more she couldn't believe how content she felt for the first time she was safe, loved, wanted and free. Everything she ever dreamt of was hers in that moment.

I thought we were meant to wait for the full moon tomorrow night? that's what the elders said or were you too busy drooling over our mate to hear. mmmmm no I was sleeping I had a long night giggled her wolf. yes I'm very aware please don't do that again it was so embarrassing to wake up there not knowing what was going on. well if you go to bed with our mate tonight I won't have to move us. she said very stubbornly back to Casey. as for that wait for the moon tomorrow stuff, they haven't looked at their calendars very well tonight is best, tonight is the blood moon our moon she preened. Our moon? asked Casey our moon will unlock our potential strengthen our bond with our mate strengthen him and us then in turn your brother will grow stronger able to stand as Alpha with or without his mate first in history to not be weak without her. we will be his strength as he has been ours. a single tear escaped her a befitting reward for my amazing big brother she replied to her wolf who said nothing but Casey could feel that she agreed. Now all she had to do was get over her past and convince Ricks to do go forward with it. hmmm that's all she thought to herself while looking up at him.

Ricks waited patiently for it to seem she was with him for the last five minutes she'd been zoned out he assumed talking to her wolf something he'd enjoyed a lot of last night. He discovered his was a smart arse sarcastic wolf with a wicked sense of humour, someone the could definitely just hang with for hours on end. a good job too now he thought about it.

So what you thinking about that got you looking so serious? he said one minute I thought you were going all soppy on me giving me the love eyes and the next you were all straight faced serious with a big discussion with your other self happening he enquired wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her close.

I was just thinking how lucky I am when I was my wolf wanted to talk she has a few options on things going forward that she wanted to make me aware of she laughed.

Ricks laughed along with her something the found he just couldn't help doing. yea I've had couple those too he said casually so to draw your attention to the destination this is our lake he said turning her round so she could see.

Casey stood for ten minutes just looking taking in every inch of the beautiful lake it was just perfect from the rippling water to the soft green grass banks the Lillie's and corrinations scattered around the forest surroundings it was like a whole other world and she loved it. the sky being a lovely clear pale blue and the sun beaming down on her just really set it off. Beautiful is all she could say as she found a spot to sit in the grass by the water.

Ricks found his heart fluttering watching his mate see the lake properly or the first time. her wonder made him feel so happy and content in the moment. This is where he should be this is where they both should be. he had planned 4 other spots to take her to today but seeing her face at this moment he felt no desire to suggest a time limit or even meantion the other places there would be the rest of their lives for that. Today, now he would just relax picnic with his mate and love her company that he hadn't even realized he wanted so badly untill now.
