"Evening gorgeous, how was the first day of the conference?" I ask when Penny picks up the video call.
"Hey," she replies with a slight smile. "The first day of the conference was phenomenal, yeh. Agnodice is a well of information, I am really looking forward to what I can learn from her over the coming days."
"Amazing, I'm glad you're enjoying it," I say, smiling back. Penny looks conflicted, and I narrow my eyes at her. "Is everything alright? Where ever you are looks beautiful."
"Hmm? Oh, yes. I'm in the gardens of the hotel at the minute. Give me a second, I'll head back into the bar." Penny starts walking, the fairylight lit garden disappearing behind her as she entered the bar, flowers being replaced by plush leather armchairs and sofas.
