“Her name is Avery Lincoln, finished high school and college quite early, became the Chief Executive Officer in the Lincoln enterprise last year and has been doing exceedly well. She's a twin and the younger one. And she's not known in the media. Hmmm, woah, she did so well hiding her self” Luck said with a smile.

“What do you mean hiding herself?” Eric asked not to looking at him.

“Well, it says here that she's a detective, an undercover secret detective. She's been in the police force for about 4years now, not even known to her family members.” Luck said.

They are away from the Lincoln family house and on their way to the company. He still couldn't believe what happened in the Lincoln family house, that girl is something else.

Immediately they got into the car and he asked Luck to find any information about her. Who would have thought that she's not only the Chief Executive Officer of Lincoln enterprise, but also a secret agent, unknown to her family. And also a beauty at that.

Yes the Lincoln family is the second richest family, but Mathew Lincoln, His daughter Mira Lincoln and son Abram Lincoln and their mother Amma Lincoln are the only ones seen and known to the public.

Who would have thought that they have a beautiful red haired daughter who is a secret detective in the FBI. And also the sole heir of the Lincoln enterprise.

This is becoming interesting. He didn't see himself getting married to her. But now she's someone useful, who knows, he can bring her to work for him.

He chuckled as the car stopped at the company. He got down immediately, not waiting for luck to open the door for him.

He went straight to his office. Luck entered shortly with some files that needed signing.

Eric looked around the table and couldn't find his coffee.

“Take Kimberly to the HR and get her fired” Eric said to Luck and went back to the files.

“No no please Mr Luck help me beg him, my child was sick I couldn't leave him alone, I'm sorry it won't happen again.” An older woman shouting, crying and begging outside the Ericmac Company.

Avery got down from her car and met the scene where a security officer roughly shoved the woman out and she fell down.

Avery immediately rushed to her and helped her up. She's a crying mess already.

“Anything the problems ma’am” Avery asked the older woman who was trying her best to control her tears.

“My son was really sick. I couldn't leave him alone so I came late to deliver Mr Eric coffee. And for that reason I'm being fired. How do I pay for his treatment, I'm doomed” The older woman cried out.

“Hey hey don't cry, don't cry, how old is your son?” Avery asked

“He's seven, just seven. What should I do?” The older woman said

“Ok what's your name?” Avery asked

“Kim…Kimberly, my name is Kimberly” She said

“Ok Kimberly this is what you will do for me now, I want you to calm down and stop crying, and I want you to take your son to the Lincoln hospital, he will be treated there” Avery said.

“No no I can't, their treatment is very expensive, I can't afford it” she said

“Here,” Avery said, bringing out an ID card. “It's mine, show it to them and they will start treatment on your son”

Kimberly took the card and look at it with shock written all over her face

“Avery Lincoln, of the Lincoln family, the CEO of the Lincoln enterprise, the second most powerful family and company in the whole of South America?” Kimberly almost shouted.

“Hey don't scream like that, you will bring the press right to our feet, anyways do as I've said.” Avery said smiling at her

Kimberly asked. “But why? Why would you do something like this to someone you barely know”

“Just say, because I want you to report to work next week as my personal assistant and I wouldn't want your son to be the reason why you are late” Avery said with a smile and entered the Ericmac Company.

Kimberly couldn't believe her ears. From being fired as a coffee maker to being the personal assistant of Avery Lincoln of the Lincoln enterprise.

All of these didn't pass the eyes of Eric who was watching them from his window, although he couldn't hear what they were saying, but he saw Avery handing over something to Kimberly and he can see Kimberly smiling and happy.

What just happened? Does it mean that Avery just helped someone she barely knows?

Eric sighed and went back to his seat.

“I demand to see Mr MacMillies” Avery shouted

“I'm sorry ma'am you have no appointment with him, so you can't be here, he's busy and doesn't need any distractions” the receptionist said looking at Avery up and down.

“Hmmm, I can see, you are his personal calendar and calculators. He's busy and doesn't need any distractions” Avery mimicked her

“Tell him that Avery is here to see him”. She said,

The receptionist looks like her and sighed

“Ma'am I know what you are doing, my boss is not interested in people like you. Why don't you just leave, if he comes out here to see you, trust me you won't like the outcome” She said.

Avery chuckled. “Why don't you pick up the phone and call your boss and tell him that Avery is here to see him, I'm very sure he won't reject”

“You speak so highly of yourself, who do you think you are, some cheap w***e who thinks she can come in here and order people around, or you are my boss.”

Avery smiled.“Cheap w***e? nope but your boss Yes of course.”

“You are very….”

“What's going on here” A deep voice cut the young woman short. She turned and saw Eric looking at her.

“E-Eric, I'm sorry I mean Mr MacMillies” she said bowing her head

Eric looks from her to Avery who looks so unconcerned.

“I asked a question,” he said.

“Sir this lady here says she wants to see you, I told her you were busy but she kept insisting” the receptionist said.

Eric looked at Avery and sighs “You want to see me?” He asked.

“Isn't it obvious?” Avery asked and walked away towards the elevator. She turned around when she realized that nobody was following her.

She met Eric angered eyes, Luck surprised ones and the shocked eyes of his employees. She sighs

“What are you waiting for, I don't know the way to your office, you tell your assistant to show me the way. Whenever you are done standing there, you can come over and we can have a proper discussion” she said loudly.

Eric wants to burst with anger. He turned around and looked at the receptionist who was still standing in shock.

“You are fired,” he said and followed Avery to the elevator.

They stood side by side, no one moving, each of them with their own thoughts and questions. The elevator stopped at the 7th floor and they got out. Eric led the way to his office while Avery followed. He opened the door and she entered and sat on one of the chairs.

Eric looked at her and shook his head.

“Are you going to tell me what brought you to my office unannounced?” He said.

Avery looks at him and raises her eyebrows.

“Well Mr. I'm here to cancel the marriage deal you and my dad are planning.”

Eric looks at her. “I'm sorry Miss Lincoln but I think you should speak to your dad about that, anyways I'm busy you should leave”

“What? Are you just going to blow me off like that? I know so well that you are not interested in getting married, why put up with the act. My company will survive okay without your help” Avery said, getting pissed.

“I will call someone to show you out, I was busy before you came in here to cause commotion” Eric said picking up the phone.

“Oh no, no, you will listen to me” Avery shouted

“Luck, come get this lady out of here” Eric said into the phone.

Avery fumed, feeling like strangling him.

“You are definitely making a mistake” Avery stood up and left angrily.
